I’m amazed people want to breathe the exhaust of 50 bikes in front of them, along with loud pipes, blaring crappy music that sounds like industrial noise. No thanks. Not my bag.
I will say that I joined a certain content creator’s group ride this year. In the video footage I have ( not published) you can see there are well over 200 bikes on country backroads, and I will just say that my speedo in the video shows we were going faster than we should have. While several of us backed off, there was a point where part of the group was clearly in the triple digits on the gauge leaving us behind quickly. Multiple close calls on that one. One thing I will say further, riding in a group is NOT about your skills as a rider, it’s about the skill level of the lowest skilled rider. Their inability to control their bike and themselves can be fatal to those around them. It is also just my opinion, that when riding for a charitable cause the idea is to keep the group intact to show unity for the cause. When this was broached with that content creator, he shrugged his shoulders and said oh well. Won’t ever join one of his rides again.
If you want to be part of the greatest and largest group ride in the world be part of the RUN FOR THE WALL. Extremely well organized with military precision and organization. The Ride brings awareness to the POW/MIA situation we've had in this country for countless years and wars. Riding for those who can't. Along with meeting life long brothers and sisters you WILL be a better rider and a better person. Everybody watches out for everybody.
Been on two wheels since ‘74. Still ride pretty much alone. Got invited this summer to ride with a club, they called it pack riding. You don’t wanna know what I call it. Dumbest bunch of fools I ever rode with. Fatality just waiting to happen.
More than a handful, at most, is an accident waiting to happen. A dedicated daily rider, one who intentionally works on skill development every day, is the only rider I’m interested in cruising with.
U used to ride HOG chapter rides very often. 30k miles one year. Not any more. When I plan a multi state ride it is with me plus 2 bikes is what I like. 5 max and that would be in 2 groups 2/3. Just showing up at a restaurant with 10 or more people is going to be a challenge. Too many different riding styles. To which most are bad. Creates long lines on hwy. and road rage with cagers. At this point nothing good I can say.
I can't imagine riding all day while worrying about some other bike crashing into me. I always ride my on ride. Riding motorcycles is all about independence and freedom for me. I won't follow a group around looking for the next bar/restaurant to stop at.
I love riding with my club... with strangers on a poker run let's say.... nah.... way way way too many close calls. I'll get there eventually and don't need to hot dog it like the du-ragers do....
I’ve been riding on the street for 51 years. I’m a lone wolf. I hate riding with others
Two is my max group size generally

I've seen too many close calls on group rides and one small accident. No more group rides for me. I have always preferred to ride by myself.
I am so with you on this. I loved riding bikes as a kid with friends. Riding heavy motorbikes is a different world.
Group rides with strangers is never good.

yeah, crazy shit.
You are as safe as the weakest link while riding. Same with hiking, but the consequences of failure are tiny in comparison.
Any group ride I have ever been in there is always that one jackass that screws it up and usually gets people or themselves hurt.

Poker runs are nuts people taking shots at every stop drunk as skunks at the end REAL SAFE!
forget waiting for an ambulance, TRANSPORT him, yourselves
Group rides are a different thing. I don’t mind them, but I have to change my mindset.
Not wearing the correct protective gear is taking the road to disaster. 👍

Hey bro! May I use it in my new episode?

I'd love to ride with others, but they all hate me. I'm so sad.
Most riders have little skill riding alone. You put a bunch of them together and its not good.
No helmet on a group ride should tell you he's uneducated and shouldn't be allowed to ride. Come back with the proper gear👍

Nope, don’t even like riding in traffic!
Group rides are for Harley guys who can't ride in the first place
Why do these jokers have to video every ride?
It's literally my job... 😂
I hate them . 2 max for me. And that includes me.
Lols nice 😂
