Swansea City Association Football Club is a Welsh professional football club based in the city of Swansea, South Wales that plays in the Championship. Swansea City represents England when playing in European competitions, although they have represented Wales in the past. They play their home matches at the Liberty Stadium.
The club was founded in 1912 as Swansea Town and joined the Football League in 1921. The club changed their name in 1969, when it adopted the name Swansea City to reflect Swansea's new status as a city.
In 1981, the club were promoted to the original Football League First Division. It was during the following season they came close to winning the league title, but a decline then set near the season's end before finishing sixth, although a club record. It was from here the club suffered a relegation the season after, returning to the Football League Fourth Division a few seasons later, then narrowly avoided relegation to the Football Conference in 2003. Prior to playing home matches at the Liberty Stadium, the team had previously hosted at the Vetch Field. The Swansea City Supporters Society Ltd owns 20% of the club, with their involvement hailed by Supporters Direct as "the most high profile example of the involvement of a supporters' trust in the direct running of a club".
In 2011, Swansea were promoted to the English Premier League, becoming the first Welsh team to play in the top division since its formation in 1992. On 24 February 2013, Swansea beat Bradford City 5-0 to win the 2012-13 Football League Cup (the competition's highest ever winning margin for the final), winning the first major English trophy in the club's history and qualifying for the 2013-14 UEFA Europa League.

Wrexham fan here. Wow, this is strong stuff. Russ is so annoyed, if the owners cant trust the manager they don't deserve this brilliant club and one of the best young managers to grace football in this country. My heart goes out to you guys. The owners have let him and his team down big time.

Russ is moving on at the end of the season 100%. There no way a manager with his capability deserves to be treated as badly as he has by the owners. Same story the lad few years. No desire from above. No risk taking to achieve what they say they ultimately want.
He's not going anywhere... It's a win win for him here, zero pressure to do well, owners that don't care, if we go down he can blame the owners if we go up he gets the credit. He will sign a new deal.

I dont blame russ and the team for leaving sooner rather than Later. Its an absolute shambles. We seriously need new owners and a Fresh start, owners who communicate with fans etc. Its like speaking to a wall though.
Russ and his team are set up so well to try and deliver the right group of players to improve this team going forward and Levien and Co are just clowns who have no idea how a club needs to be run successfully. Slowly but surely they have downgraded everything about this club since taking over. We'll lose him and his group to a club who will give them backing and see exactly what could have been - Steve Cooper case in point

none of us know the ins and outs however I do think the money was there I just do feel like we are watching what happened with the Dan James deal again where there are too many voices on the board that we end up in boardroom politics on who to actually sign

It's disappointing when he talks about a time difference being an issue with being some deals, if that Is an issue why would the owners not be in the same time zone for that period? Pretty simple fix that one
If we had owners which would invest actual money into the club instead of just taking with this manager and the squad we go already I reckon we would of least been in the play offs this, every else who needs to strengthen positions they just go and buy them it's a joke always another excuse

You can see in his body language he is lying. Classic signs looking down unable to keep still asking for questions that was already very clear to be repeated, Respectively shaking of the head when talking about a parasitic person probably the most obvious sign of all.
The money that wasn’t spent during the window should be reinvested into soft blankets and pillows so that the fans can at least be comfy for our weekly 90 minute snoozefests.

Whitaker has made it known he wants to play in the number 10 roll. We don't really play with one of them so where will he play? If he's happy think he'd be good in that right wing back roll. That's what we've missed most this season, pace down the wings. Gone from Christie and wolf to Lati and manning or cooper. All good players but lack the pace we had last season
