we are not a religious family but i have to say i enjoyed this video. the lesson was amazing and I soo want to do this with my children. most people who youtube record in quiet spaces and pretend their kids exist in an alternate reality. its really refreshing to see your kids living life and being kids in your videos. kudos!
What a awesome idea teaching your children about money bills and responsibility. I wish I would have known this when I was starting out. Great Parents you are.😇😍
"Should I go with medical bills or savings? I can go for both, but I have no money in the end." LOL, my favorite part of this video. Loved that lesson, great way to teach financial responsibility.
So inspirational for young couples with kids. I sure wish I had done that when my kids were young. Both of you are great parents with precious kids & you should be very proud of your selves.
I love the way yall sat and done the money with your kids. I will definitely do this with my kids. They are 15 & 13. They think it grows on trees. Thank you for this video. I knew I loved you for a reason.
After I watched this, I folded the laundry from the dryer, put in a load of towels, washed the lunch dishes, and mixed up and baked some brownies for the kids after school. It all only took me like 20 min. Thank you for giving me that little boost I obviously needed. :)
"Shaylee and I get a little drink" - and I think... is that a screwdriver? LOL. I know it's not, it just made me laugh. We love you guys so much, so happy to have made Deric laugh. Have a great week friends!
very inspirational, you and your family are very blessed ! and thanks for sharing your beautiful life and family. will def practice this with my girls.
Watching this late but needed it today!!! As my sister would say "motivate, motivate, motivate" thanks for posting such great videos!! Norwex for the win
This is FANTASTIC! Can you please do a budget video? You talked about it in the budget binder video but I could not find it! I am going to do this game with my family. Excellent!!! Thank you!!
Have you ever made up a bunch of brownie mixes in quart size zip locks? I saw them on Pintrest. They cost very little and make the best brownies w/o all the preservatives the "boxed brownies" have. They end up costing $.30 per mix=homemade. I made up 3 chocolate chip cookie, 2 oatmeal chocolate chip cookie, and 3 homemade brownies. It took me a few quick minutes and I feel so good about it. I found that we always have these basic ingredients on the shelf=YUM!
I Love this game ! I would love to give it to my daughter to teach my grandchildren. I am enjoying your channel so much. you are such as sweet , God loving young woman. God Bless you.😄😄
Oh Callie you made me laugh.. My teenagers would have said the exact same, I'll just get mom to pay my medical. Lol. Loved this guys what a great way to teach financial responsibility!
Really enjoyed this, the lesson about money I wish someone had done that with me! So going to have to do something similar with my children I want them to be the opposite to me and good with money x
I recommend the books for the bottom shelf, unless you read them every day. That way, you can put family pictures on the shelves where the books are. You will feel more rested without having to look at the books from bed.
Logically, if you only had $1800 and each of those expenses were as listed, you would still be able to afford all the necessities provided that you weren't silly and spent money on the toy or unnecessary fast food categories (which seems like common sense to me). House, electricity, car, gas, medical, savings, charity and grocery add up to exactly $1800 and if you have your head in the right place enough to know that you should be setting aside money for each of those things, then you should be able to work out that an increased income or decreased expenditure is what is needed to have the fun stuff. Savings can be for fun stuff too though, so even if it's only once in a while, on a limited budget like the example, it's not impossible to live well. I assume that was what the moral of the story was, but what Deric said made sense too :) Thinking in words here :P
+Jennifer Flener I use Norwex's detergent. Ultra Power Plus. Those green things are dryer balls also from Norwex. I have a link for my Norwex website in the description box. Let me know if I can answer any of your questions.
Great video! I have the same IKEA bookshelf just thought I'll mention if you color code the books I know it sounds crazy it just gives your room that much more pop much love😘

Watching some throw back vlogs today. Having a ball of anxiety morning in bed. This made me laugh so much when you said "better than what I used to drink" hahaha. All I could think of was when Justin did a vlog on our channel called "I quit coke", and concerned friends asking about his "drug" habit haha. Hope the battle is still going well! ~ Sarah
I loved your vlog. I would love it if you can make a video on how you told Jonah about his adoption. I also adopted a baby boy, and I need some advise on how and when to tell him. I got him when he was 3months old he is 4 now.. love him so much. thanks kimmy
We are a tithing family too. When my husband gets paid every week the first thing we pay is the tithe. When my daughter got her first job, we told her to not forget to tithe. We were so proud of her when she did.
