Thank you for always including costs in your tours whenever you’re able to. So many UA-camrs skip over that, and with everything constantly going up in price It’s great to have someone that will shoot us straight and tell us what things cost!
Finally, a thorough, detailed tour of Fort Wilderness specifically on what it’s like to be a tent camper ! This was so informative! Thank you Dev and Brian! Great video!
We rented a Trailer in Feb., came with a golf cart, it was wonderful! So beautiful and peaceful, ate at trails end, delicious, watched the fire works and water pagent, the pool was warm and fun, we would get off the bus after a long day at the parks, hopped right on our golf cart which was parked very close, a nice cool breezy ride back to our site,we loved it!
Used to camp in fort wilderness in the 1970s when I was a kid with my parents. What a difference in what it is today. Thanks for sharing all the different things to do and see. As well as the prices etc..
I too was there in the 70s. The tent sites were sand at the time which they raked often because of tire tracks. I still like sand better for ground camping. The wash house was air conditioned too! We flew down rented a car to get to the camp ground and turned it in. We caught the regular bus back. The campground was not prepared for someone without a car to checkout! We came inside and were told we had to go back outside and go through the drive through. When I protested that I thought it was dangerous standing between cars inhaling exhaust fumes, I was told to get back in my car! I asked if we could leave the footlocker and the duffle bag inside! She finally figured out the problem and let us check out inside. I remember there was transportation to the magic kingdom, by water. As well as the regular tram like vehicles that moved people around.
camped here in 2008! met chip and dale there and it’s one of my fondest memories from my childhood and this is one of my favorite disney resorts to stay in! the hotels are just not really giving that disney experience but the campsite is just so much fun, glad to see it’s not so different
Good morning dev happy Monday morning and I just wanted to say that your thumbnails is amazing I'm proud of you and you are amazing Supporter my friend
I can’t believe I missed you! I just left the Fort on Sunday. I was there for 3 weeks. I’ve been following your channel for a couple of years and was hoping to see you around Disney while I was there. You probably passed us (and my yellow lab Bennett) on the golf carts. Thanks for your great vlog Dev.
We stayed in the cabins in November and loved it. We weren’t able to reserve a golf cart but it was a short walk to the bus stop. Loved the boat over to Magic Kingdom!! Ready to go back!!
Hi from Toronto. My wife and I stayed in Fort wilderness in a 21 foot travel trailer way back in 1979 so it was interesting to see how it’s changed over the years. Of course there were no golf carts available then. Brings back memories.
I have an SUV tent from Napier and camped out this last February. I thought I would be the only idiot camping out in the cold and it gets down to 45-50 degrees at night, but there were tons of tent campers. The WiFi is great! I have cots, brought a heater, electric grill, cozy sleeping bags - comfort stations were impeccable - Gonna do it again. Plus, hardly anyone on the ferry at night. And people were swimming in February!!
Great place to go if you love the outdoors. Hoping they bring back Chip & Dale campfire sing a long. I enjoyed that. Yes, a golf cart is definitely the way to go
We have done 2 trips to WDW. The 1st we did it big 5 nights 6 days thought we stayed at POP Century. Then we did a very quick simple camping trip of 1 day park and 2 nights tent camping. It was SO much cheaper and motivated us to come more often, so we got a fixer upper pop up camper. Sadly, then came Covid and we haven't been back yet but we plan on a trip soon. We LOVED the campground! It was quiet, lots of things to do, gave Disney magic for less money, and the boat trip to MK is the best way to travel.
Man this was awesome!!!! Man you had me dying laughing when you said you wasn't prepared to ride space mountain when you guys went off road!!!!! Thanks for another great video big brother!!!!
We love the campgrounds. We rent a cabin and it is great for a larger size family. We never get the golf cart though to save on money and we have never had issues. There is a private ferry to take you to magic Kingdom but all the other parks you need to take the busses. It's a unique experience on Disney property.
Camping in a tent in Florida in the summer is not for the faint of heart. At fort wilderness if camping in a tent November through February are the best months.
We stayed in a cabin a few years ago-rented golf cart from outside vendor (had a rental before and after ours so just left keys in cart). It was SO FUN it was difficult to get motivation to get to parks. The boat ride to MK or resorts was AWESOME though and the boat captains (used to anyway) time rides around MK fireworks-like having a private charter but better as was already included in price.
I've tent camped in August (survival of the fittest time) and February (quite nice). Cabins in October for a half dozen years. When solo, I tent. When with the family, I cabin or cheat on Fort Wilderness by staying over at Caribbean Beach. FW is my absolute favorite. Thermocell for bugs at the site -- keeps you from having to be all DEET sticky all the time. Tent camping is second nature for me. Newbies might not have a great time doing this :)
I’m with you….we have stayed twice in the cabins and will be there again in June plus will be staying again at Halloween for the party at MK….it is so wonderful staying there. You feel like being in another Disney park because of all the wild life and activities going n. So worth the price. The golf cart is a must!
I've stayed at various Disneyworld resorts but have yet to do the camping thing. I am very interested in doing this, thanks for providing a look around the site.
Love camping Dev! Only thing about RV’s they need to be stored somewhere and can cost as much as a house! Many are just so cool! Enjoy all your videos especially the diversity! Love Disney, but enjoy all the other events, parks and locations you travel to! Keep up the good work!
Overall similar, some expansion of more sites but some areas like the swamp trails and trains are gone. Group camping is now a picnic area but was closed while there.
Great video Dev, you showed other features and food places plus items I haven't seen in other Fort Wilderness videos. 🧡🌺 Thank you very much, and thank you to your friend for sharing as well.
I loved this review! I haven’t seen a review that did is greater job covering all the different options you have at Fort Wilderness. I’ve always wanted to stay there, but could never really get a ton of information about it. Thank you!
Very nice informative video, I think you covered everything anyone would need to know if they were going to stay there. Thanks for another great video 😊!
Just wanted to mention, this was 3rd week of may. It's the last few weeks of the dry season before the overnight temps are too high to tent camp. Very hot afternoons but chilly comfy overnights. I don't recommend May to October for someone new to tent camping but it's very easy to find air conditioning or ways to cool off if you get a few toasty afternoons.
We used to camp at Fort Wilderness many times back in the late 70's -early 80's and it was awesome. They also used to have the Ft. Wilderness Rail Road which traveled around the camp ground, it's a shame they did away with it as it was fun to ride it as a kid. River Country was a fun water park that existed back then also. Btw that DVC resort "Reflections" construction site was the actual site of River Country. Sadly they have cancelled the construction of Reflections.
Camping? Oh I’m definitely tuned in!🔥 Thank you for another video Dev! I actually had plans to Vlog my stay at Fort Wilderness… but this video dropped JUST in time before I booked my stay!
Sorry for all my comments haha, last one.... I stayed 1 night in a cabin few years ago. It was very nice, but it felt cramped when sleeping. The one bedroom had a full bed and bunk beds that's a small space for 4 people to sleep in lol
Literally at MCO now about to fly home after our Disney vacation. First time it felt so different in a negative way. We hated Genie+. Even at 7am, the first LLs for Jungle Cruise were for times past 6pm. Bearing in mind a lot.of visitors will have jet lag for the first few days so early evening just isnt.doable but absolutely no morning slots. Buying Genie+ and then sitting on your phone from 06.55 am guarantees nothing. We travelled 4,500 and weren't able to get on JC, Tower of Terror or Pirates. We never faced this with Fast Passes and didnt have to spend an extra $90+ per day for fast passes like we did for G+. If you book your first LL at 7.00, by the time you can book your second there's very limited choice left. VERY limited. Disney's greed means we won't be coming back now after years of visits. Fact is - there's so much less on offer yet it costs so much more $$$$$$$
I'm staying at Fort Wilderness again this year. My family is staying in a cabin and renting a golf cart. We are also going to be at MK it's going to be very fun.
Thank you for always including costs in your tours whenever you’re able to. So many UA-camrs skip over that, and with everything constantly going up in price It’s great to have someone that will shoot us straight and tell us what things cost!
$220 per day. LOL

You can also contract with an outside company, Disney approved that will deliver a rented RV your camp site and pick up when your trip is over

We bought a camper 2 years ago and now The Fort is our home resort. So much to do and the golf carts are so much fun. We love it!
GREAT VIDEO Man'.... I COULD LIVE THERE....And be REAL HAPPY!!!!!!
When I was younger we used to go to Fort Wilderness, used to visit to go to the pool and when we were on vacation ride the bikes. It was so great.
What a beautiful place to stay. Thank you dev for these amazing video!!!!
First trip to Disney in 1975 the family stayed at Fort Wilderness. Start of my love of Disney!
This video is done perfectly, I'd love to stay here from the video alone. Subscribed!
I like how it seems more relaxed and laid back there.
We will be at Fort Wilderness in 2 1/2 months. Third trip. It is definitely a unique camping experience.
Used to camp in fort wilderness in the 1970s when I was a kid with my parents.
What a difference in what it is today.
Thanks for sharing all the different things to do and see. As well as the prices etc..
I sometimes wish I could see what Disney World was like in the early days with my own eyes. Thank you for watching Ronald!

A really great detailed tour of the facility there. Thanks for that. And a great speaking voice too. Nice work.

I'm staying in the cabins next month, I can't wait, I love the cabins, I would never camp there too hot and too many bugs but I love the cabins.
The cabins are fantastic! Enjoy your stay.
Yes, way too hot in the summer to tent it for me , but really want to try the cabins! Thanks Dev !
My family camped there in our RV twice, Christmas week 1994 and June 1997. Best campground ever.
Just adding another Disney thing to do for my bucket list!! Another awesome informative video, thanks Dev
Camping at ft wilderness is perfect during cooler months…
Absolutely!!
As always great informational video Dev
Thank you so much Joanna!
Great video, never would of thought of camping at Disney ,sound fun.
That’s my cart at 30:40! Glad you like it!
We have camped at Fort Wilderness twice. Fantastic campground.
Hey Dev, I really enjoyed this video, thank you!

We have stayed here, in our RV, several times. Thank you for doing a review! Great Place to RV!
No one had done a good review of FW- until you.
We were there from Apr 24 to May 1st and our grandkids fished and did the gem mining. We LOVE staying in Fort Wilderness!
Your speaking voice is fabulous my friend! If you aren’t in broadcasting you could be for sure. Great video and thanks for posting.

Man, that was some great information, that's one place on my bucket list. I have a travel trailer, and that's one place I wanna go too
Thank you Dev
Great video! It’s hard to find Fort Wilderness videos. Looks like a great time!
Brings back memories! Our family camped there in the 90s. SO fun.
I grew up camping at Fort Wilderness until my parents bought dvc back in the 90’s. Super fond memories of camping in our pop up. Thanks Dev!
I can't imagine being in a tent in that humidity. Definitely a better Winter choice!

Thank you giving us a great tour of the property. It looks like it would be a lot of fun to camp there, especially during the holidays!

It was hot enough there in December. I’d never even attempt to go there in the summer. Great video.
Never even knew the Circle D Ranch existed... will have to check it out when I go in the summer.
FINALLY DEV my husband and I was talking about this ask him what time of the year he suggest
The best time for a stay at Fort Wilderness is fall time during the Halloween season or even in November- January Natisha.

It would have been nice to see inside the laundry and a cabin. Thanks for the video.
camped in a tent here last august...the thing that made the weather bearable was my portable ac in the tent lol
