i just saw wasp last month in new york city and they were GREAT!!!! ALWAYS LOVED THEM. glad the young lady enjoyed it!! and LOVEBITES would of loved the plug she gave them. to me LOVEBITES are now the best band in the world!! you 2 have a great day.
Was it Miyako's solo in "Break the Wall" or in "Edge of the World" that this reminded Mrs. Coach of? Btw, I'm right there with you! Lovebites is my favorite band right now, but W.A.S.P. is one of my all-time favorites, especially their "Headless Children" album!
WASP wasn't big in my upbringing, but I always like what I hear. Maybe I should seek them out. I think Miho, the former bass guitarist of LOVEBITES, has played WASP's songs with the various cover bands she's guest starred with since leaving the band. Speaking of LOVEBITES, I found out a day or two ago that one of my acquaintances in Japan is going to be performing with Asami during her December solo show. My last little tidbit is that Ale of The Warning turns 20 today!
One of the two songs that I really remember well from WASP...the other being 'LOVE machine'. Not because they are a bad group, but because I was stationed overseas when they became popular, and I didn't have exposure or access to much entertainment. A couple of groups that this reminds me of are Tesla and Kingdom Come. Also, because I had missed them when they became popular and have a good hard rock mix of ballads and bangers.
Saw them live when the opened up for KISS. What a show they put on, Blackie is insane in is theatrics. 80's music was best served like Nightwish ... LIVE
Thanks for the W.A.S.P. "Wild Child" reaction, a great classic for me. Yes, W.A.S.P. also have harder songs, so I would be happy to see a reaction to "I Wanna Be Somebody"; the original music video for this song was also much wilder. 1985 was a good year in hard rock / heavy metal, even though some of the big names didn't release studio albums and a change to a more slick sound was noticeable. These studio album releases from this year are my top 10 without ranking: W.A.S.P. - The Last Command GARY MOORE - Run For Cover ACCEPT - Metal Heart LOUDNESS - Thunder In The East YNGWIE J. MALMSTEEN - Trilogy DIO - Sacred Heart MÖTLEY CRÜE - Theatre Of Pain DOKKEN - Under Lock and Key ARMORED SAINT - Delirious Nomad ANTHRAX - Spreading The Disease LOVEBITES are a fuel that gives power to the engine of my rock metal heart and I recognize many influences in their music from the 70's, mainly 80's and also the following decades, exciting.
I find quite softer than when I was following them in the 80s and early 90s. Same sound though. Even in their slower songs they sounded harder. Well, I guess I an softening too as years are passing by ! 😣
Great band- I gather that Blackie Lawless plays a lot of the studio stuff himself and only put a band together to tour. Saw them on the UK tour pre Covid. Fave album Headless Children.
Battle Beast have done amazing cover of this. And there is one from Nightwish too, but it's not very good quality. If you do that, try to find remastered version.
I Wanna Be Somebody has certainly gotta be on the list. my favorite version is from _Double Live Assassins_ , thanks to the little motivational rant during the bridge 😂😂🤘
Mrs.Coach, I've been subscribing your channel and I love your reactions, but this particular case, I don't agree with you. They don't sound any thing like Lovebites. Lovebites is this as you know this piece Soldier Stands Solitarily. ua-cam.com/video/30yWisiRBuM/v-deo.html Fast, heavy, brutal but having somehow symphonic vibs.

Thanks so much! You, too!

She's not sure which one reminded her of this in the moment, but Coach is just glad she's coming around. LOL

That's a lot of info in a short comment. LOL Thanks very much!
" I want youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu"
I bet I played this song about 1000 times back in the 80's.
Me too, dude! Cheers for the 80s!🍻
Same here!🤘
Is she ready for Chainsaw Charlie??? Not quite yet 😂😂
LOL, yeah, not yet.
Classic! Rock on! 👌

Hey team ‼️ another Joe cool rocker song💥#BigHairEra😀

I believe F like a beast might be considered the Deep End 😂
Or possibly diving into the Deep End where someone's emptied the water 😂
Yes, that one qualifies as deep end. LOL

Rose’s album part 2 please 🥺❤
You should watch Nightwish perform this song back in 2002/2003. Marko Hietala slays it. What a great track by W.A.S.P.!
Oh wow, that would be one to check out.
How bout L.O.V.E machine ❤❤❤

Thanks for the info!
Well done. Been a fan of WASP for years. Blackie Lawless a great singer but not in the same league as Lucy Lawless look-alike Floor Jansen. LOL
Asylum #9. Go off the deep end.
I Wanna Be Somebody has certainly gotta be on the list.

😅
L. O. V. E. Machine would be a good next song!!

I don't think that's what she was saying. It was more that getting to like Lovebites made her more willing to listen to stuff like WASP.
@@rikosborne1212 OK!!
@@rikosborne1212 Exactly! Thank you!
Minneva does a great female cover of this one. ua-cam.com/video/pKVGzgZdZF8/v-deo.htmlsi=_-QKkpIEJJVA7FKW
