I didn't realise how many individual sounds go towards a complete trance track! Just amazing, especially with that piano melody is goose bump material! cheers mate
Hi Steve I've been your fan for quite some time now and I really appreciate that you find time to show us your tricks. I would really love to see a detailed tutorial about kick and bass/es mixing from A to Z because it is a foundation of any successful track these days. Thanks
***** "Your top 100" wow, that must be something really important. I'm sure Steve won't be able to sleep after reading this. That "trance experience" thing sounds so serious...is it your profession? Btw, I'm curious why did you actually subbed to this channel? What are you looking for? What did you expect?
***** I wall of bla bla and you avoided replying to a simple question. Why are you subbed to this channel? What do you expect? Putting words in my mouth and trying to draw me as a fanboy won't make your comment any more meaningful. You talk about this one having a mediocre refrain and not being "catchy", but then you talk about respecting opinions. Isn't the first comment you replied to an opinion? Or that doesn't count eh "Mr. 15 years of trance experience"? Also, why don't you mention those radically different Thrillseekers tracks you've been listening to, so that we have something to compare with and analyze. Put some content, some meat on the table. Enough with the blabla. Cause I'm sure those tracks aren't much different than this one here. And no, I'm not angry. It's the contrary. I'm actually amused by people taking pride of having "trance experience". You know, I've been eating for more than 25 years. I have "food experience" :)
Much respect for you!! You are amazing! I just have two request. Well, one request and one question: Request: it'd be great if you could do an "In The Studio" episode about the techniques you use for mixing, mastering, dynamic range compression, etc. Question: Will you ever to another Live Xtreme gig? Thanks!
The kick is exactly the right one for this track. This is an emotional trance, so kick needs to be a little bit hidden in the mix as it is here. Very well done.
Very inspiring video, thanks a lot! I have a question, do you use automation on the low end cutoff so you can bring some back for breakdowns, or do you just use the bass sound to add bottom end to pads? You never said in the video if bass was cut from the pad sounds, I just assume. ;)
Mexus Official No, Cubase is actually one of the only DAWs that doesn't color your sound, and its FILLED with so many capabilities that you wouldnt find in logic like VST expression and such
Ben de Torcy DAW's don't color your sound. Plugins do. Yes Cubase can do things that Logic can't, and also Logic can do things that Cubase can't. Also FL studio does something extra. It's all about the taste :)
Great stuff! I think this is my favorite Thrillseekers track to date. Well, actually, they are all mind blowing.
That track and it's sunset mix... I honestly can't wrap my head around how beautiful melodies comes out of you Steven! Thanks for creating it
Brilliant track, brilliant walkthrough, thanks steve. Inspirational and motivational, this is why I love trance.

I didn't realise how many individual sounds go towards a complete trance track! Just amazing, especially with that piano melody is goose bump material! cheers mate
Anywhere up to 150 tracks is the norm for me!
The Thrillseekers That's about 140 more than me...maybe that's where I'm going wrong :(
TranceformYourWorld Probably not, Airbase only uses 20 and he makes awesome stuff!
This is very inspiring. Thanks so much for sharing your mastery and insight with us. It's very much appreciated. Cheers!
Awsume

***** Oh, the trance expert came.
If you don't like it fine, but at least have a bit of respect for Thrillseekers and the story behind the track.

OK, it's on the list. Live Xtreme TBC soon!
always loved your work steve..so emotional mate
So much going on i wouldn't know where to start haha
Can you do a tutorial on trance bass sound design in an analogue VST? I always seem to hit a wall when I try to make these!
The kick, man! The kick! You forgot, basically the most essential part of the track!
Sorry!
The kick is exactly the right one for this track. This is an emotional trance, so kick needs to be a little bit hidden in the mix as it is here. Very well done.
Ola máster quisiera saber su proceso de Mastering seria de gran ayuda , saludos desde cali Colombia 🇨🇴
are they samples at 3:20 steve? if so where can i get them from
oooh Santi Cazoooorla oooh Santi Cazooorla!
steve good job ;) cheers it is vocals is sample pack kontakt Omnisphere ?
Hi steve... great work! Do you recomend UAD 2?? I've seen you're used a lot as main plugins for effects...
Long life at trance!
Very nice walkthrough! But do you use any shuffling on the Hihats? Would work fine on 16th Hihats.
I don't use shuffle. Prefer to keep them straight!
the amount of tracks on there is insane, did it take forever to do that or has it become easy to do from experience?
Very inspiring video, thanks a lot! I have a question, do you use automation on the low end cutoff so you can bring some back for breakdowns, or do you just use the bass sound to add bottom end to pads? You never said in the video if bass was cut from the pad sounds, I just assume. ;)
Yes, I often do this, to cut bass from pads, etc, when it kicks back in
So who can we expect remixes from?
what is you source of inspiration Steve ? and how much time did you spend to produde this track ?
life! 2 weeks on this.
The sound from the Nord lead reminds me of your remix of Sublime :) ua-cam.com/video/1sD7DkEKUBE/v-deo.htmlm18s
are u intending to switch to logic ???+
Nope!
does it even matter? All DAWs are the same anyways.
