i played about 7 yrs in a USA Men's regional, all the North East, New England 240lb prop. I remember the 1st time I was cleared off a Ruk, I was engaged, saw ball come free, just as release from Ruk, i get hit by opposing player, knocking me on my back...i remember watching the ball, green grass...next thing I knew, I was looking at blue sky, I found that funny, for some reason and started laughing, the opposing player getting off me, looks down, i'm laughing, he shakes his head and joined the action, lmao....

I think maybe what people don't realise is that there's a difference between a big hit and a clothesline or hit directly to the head. Those are just ridiculous dangerous "tackles", and a straight red card in most cases. Just straight up unnecessarily dangerous hits
So glad I saw this comment- you see so many people complaining and saying the game has gone “soft”, which really is not necessary- I personally know two people who have died playing the sport

It all depends on how the person is defining the word "sissy".. it is definitely subjective.
rugby is pretty way fresh, I dont know all the rules but I have a good idea of how you play and hits that are and are not allowed. Seems its a strategy to use illegal moves without the ref seeing, causing a ruckus and then going to town.
I dont know shit about rugby. But from what i see this game puts the NFL ( national dairy league) to shame. Especially the Samoans

If any kind of illegal tackle happened like that in say Football, then that would be a straight up red card.

Growing up in Wigan I always preferred league to union, but the raw aggression that first attracted me to the game is slowly being destroyed by the nanny state rules and woke bullshit that seem to infect every aspect of modern life.
league is also a bit boring. Without ruck and mauls, proper lineout and scums and really differing positions there just isnt as much to watch. There uisnt really much kicking or technical play I still like it better than football but IMO its just dudes running into each other. Dumbed down union
I was watching a Six Nations game recently. One guy was stopped in his tracks by another guy. The guy who was stopped had the wind knocked out of him but was otherwise OK. Everybody carried on with the game but the ref called for a review and on the close-up ultra slow-mo replay you saw the shoulder of the stopper slide up close to the chin of the stoppee. As I say, nobody was injured, everybody was fine with it, there was no intention to harm but the ref sent the stopper off, and that was early in the match. Bloody ridiculous!
