People might be asking why Pablo won AOTY and here are my thoughts on this. Just to put things into perspective and bias aside and tanggalin na ang pagiging leader ni Pablo at lahat ng mga naisulat niya na mga songs ng SB19 over the years sa usapan, I think Pablo’s achievements this year undoubtedly speaks for itself and are enough reasons why he deserved to win Artist of the Year award. Just focusing on his solo achievements this year, Pablo released 2 phenomenal albums and created his masterpieces in his Alon & Laon solo albums na sobrang iba’t ibang genre na ang lalim at poetic ng lyrics which takes you on a rolller coaster ride of emotions. And he also wrote, produced his Edsa song, Akala, Determinado songs with Josue (Radkidz) and he also wrote songs for Stell’s album (Room & Anino) and for other artists like G22 (Limitless). And to top it off, his amazing coaching for Tropa ni Pablo clearly shows his talent and skill to develop the underdogs in the blind auditions into stellar artists and performers in the battle rounds performances which became viral and he even led 2-chair turner, Nevin, to win The Voice Kids on his first year of coaching. His arrangement of the songs made all the performances of his team stand out. Yung nagawa pa lang niya na maging winning coach sa TVK on his first year of being coach speaks volumes of his artistry. Let’s add na rin his creative direction sa The Boy Who cried wolf mv niya. His artistry, creativity and versatility are just out of this world and lyricism niya is topnotch kaya mga singer songwriters like Dingdong Avanzado, Yeng constantino wants to collab with him because they recognize how goood a songwriter he is na napili pa ang Mapa at Nyebe as theme songs sa 50th MMFF. I’m just blown away by his talent in writing/composing/producing songs of ALL genres and makes songs equally well in tagalog and english language. He is everything - genius song writer and story teller, producer, composer, song arranger, coach/mentor, eloquent communicator, singer, rapper, dancer, leader.
PABLO AS ARTIST OF THE YEAR IS WELL DESERVED!!! Who else can amount to that/him at the moment? Of course JOSH who always have his spot every awards show and SB19 as a group in general. And seeing STELL winning those 3 awards as solo artist melts my heart. I'm crying!!!
