Corvairs on fire was a thing back then. I worked at a Texaco in 70' pumping gas. A guy in a Corvair come flying in with the engine on fire and started circling the pumps. My boss and the mechanic where trying to get him to stop so they could extinguish the fire. When he finally stopped, they asked him why he wouldn't stop. He said he was afraid the fire would catch up to him.
HI Frank I was drinking coffee and reading your comment when I read the last line and spit coffee everywhere,,too funny my friend thanks for the morning laugh,, later Glen
Great stuff Glen, love everything you do. Would love it if you’d show us the instructions for making a Holmes boom and bed. That’s awesome that you got better internet.
Hey buddy I did that wagon that way around 25 years ago but I made it a two door sedan delivery but it works well with that chassis take care and just modeling!
@@lonniecrittenden3531 you're right,, but I want a more streetable version with creature comforts if you know what I mean ,, honestly I don't know what I'm going to do with the bossa Nova I'm drawing a blank on that one appreciate the comment buddy later
Good video, Glen! Your hand sketch was neat with the drag link connection identified by name. The drawing is numbered #32 so I watched #32 to see if you had an axle build in it. It didn't but it does have a link to your story. In #32 you showcased your VW van so..... rear engined bus/van like the Corvair. 🙄
Hey Alan sorry I forgot to add to the number 32 that's on model cars with Glenn my old channel if you go there you'll see the axle build I should have wrote that on the page anyway thanks for watching and I appreciate it buddy
Yeah buddy I like chargers too I have eight or nine of them all together seven of them built and I think I got two more to go appreciate you watching buddy and like the comment,, later

Hi it’s Robbie love how you put stuff together to make a gasser’s Here a tip I make metal Coil springs on some of my models I use paperclips or floral wire 18 ga (1.02mm) 18in (45.72cm) that the size on the floral wire you buy the floral wire at hobby lobby or flower shops i guess Walmart sells them to i guess. You can use other wire it might be to soft. You can make different sizes using metal tubing or plastic tubing for your coil springs this how you make them put the wire on the tubing and twist it around the tubing as closely you can you can make them as long as you won’t then spend each coil apart then cut them as long as need for your car or truck back in and Front in. your friend and neighbor Robbie
That's awesome buddy 👍I like your models and the stories you share everytime you come on ,shop card shout outs.. awesome stuff man keep doing what your doing....happy modeling.
