what do you do as a manager if your employer micromanages and then when I come back from holiday (hoping that the employer and team get everything done) have nothing completed and I end up doing everything to get the project (in this case a venue) all ready by the end of the week that you came back??? I have the feeling that my leader is a micromanager (because no decision is cleared without him), we have many meetings with as many people as possible but the leader tends to do nothing and rely on others to do his role... I would like my leader to be a leader and focus on the big picture and let the managers (like myself) get on with our jobs without needing the whole group to make every decision etc. Any advice as a manager below a leader would be greatly appreciated!
How would you go about managing and stimulating progress without telling the executives what to do? Creating awareness for themselves so we can have honest conversations and escalate slowly? (From a private investor’s perspective)
