…Lots more people gonna die.
Sorry. I spoiled.
You really gonna watch 8 more of these?? There are better movies out there.
Just watch the sequel and move on
@@LongBeach88 maybe till 4. That mainly closes up the main plot and establishes where it's moving. After that they get a lil whacky, but you can still enjoy them for that. imho
Saw 2 is watchable but anything after is just torture corn....
FUN FACT: The guy who played Adam actually WROTE this movie. Leigh Whannell is his name.
Also wrote Insidious and most of it's sequels as well as playing in them too. Very good.
He's a better writer than an actor though.
Isnt that Ezra Miller??
@@Kurahaara86 not really
@@Kurahaara86 could be worse, like the cop in saw 7
the ending to this movie is a masterpiece hearing the screaming in theaters was so chilling.
We were there opening weekend. It was awesome!!!
Especially since the screams continued into the end credits as everyone was leaving the theater.
The ending twist is so good!
Yes the ending still gives me chills
@@cflournoy1529 It was nuts. Horror rule. If I see a good Horror movie advertised? I am there first show. And here there was a MIDNIGHT show.
"Danny Glover too old to be doing this. He got the same knees from Predator 2."
Never a dull moment with you! 😂
Danny Glover was too old for this shit way back in Lethal Weapon.
I love how the pupper was like "hey, hey, my dude, you good? You don't look so good, I'm here for you, look at me, look at me, I'm here to help."
I am actually surprised you watched this movie bro. It is definitely not for the squeamish
Can't wait till he watches terrifier
@@fkaiba94 awww hell naw. That clown gave me nightmares.
Only 8 more to go😏
MWAHAHAHAAA!!!
This movie is relatively tame when you think about it. It's the later Saw movies that have much stronger graphic violence.
@@petercdowney very true. The atmosphere is what makes it . I enjoyed the mystery aspect of this first film
J is the only reactor who will jump and get scared at absolutely nothing at all. Nothing scares this man more than a loud noise. So hilarious 😂 😂
And I know I shouldn’t laugh but I cannot stop 😂😂😂
Shut up.
That's usually the only time I jump in movies, especially in the theater, is loud noises. Shrug. No shame lol. Natural reaction I feel.
"I want to play a game."
Fun Fact: Was filmed in 18 days.
Movie Magic Fact: Leigh Whannell and James Wan confirmed that when Adam begins to smash Zep (Michael Emerson) with the toilet lid, he is actually hitting a garbage bag full of fake blood.
Subtle Camera Storytelling Fact: Director James Wan wanted the camera movements to reflect the two main characters' emotions and personality. He filmed Dr. Gordon (Cary Elwes) with steady controlled shots and Adam (Leigh Whannell) as handheld shots to capture their emotions of the situation.
Gun Enthusiast Fact: As Dr. Gordon (Cary Elwes) is loading the cartridge into the revolver to shoot Adam (Leigh Whannell), the camera briefly shows all six chambers of the cylinder to be empty. Revolvers don't eject spent cartridges, yet the man on the floor was supposed to have shot himself with the same gun. What looked to be a continuity error is actually a subtle foreshadowing to the twist ending.
I saw this movie in theaters, and man, that ending had the whole theater screaming! It was one of the best movie going experiences I've ever had.
I can just imagine being absolutely BLOWN AWAY in theaters 1st time seeing this I wish I coulda experienced tht
Same here. I wish I could have seen the whole theater lose their minds.
Saw and Final Destination are 2 franchises that have given a lot of people new fears.
NO JOKE!!
I still don't like being behind lawg trucks
Charlie Clouser did such a wonderful job with the musical score. Without him, the series may not had been very known as it is.
The theme at the end always telling us that shit is going down. Gives me chills every time I hear it.
I remember vividly watching Saw when it was released. Nothing like it had ever been done before. It blew minds, no doubt.
I'm here to tell ya, I'm gonna be laughing harder than hell on this evening 💀
It’s a tradition for me to watch people react to saw for the first time to witness the best plot twist in history ever
41:14 The look on Rom's face as he creeps up to you.. like, "Daddy you ok?".. 😂
The ending still gives me goosebumps…… So unbelievably well done. Wan has never done anything since that compares to the genius of this movie…… Only The Mist and Se7en maybe rival the feeling of “what the f did I just watch”
I still remember the first time I watched this when it came out and the conversations afterwards. We need more filmmakers and films like this….
Proud of you bro for roughing it out. The second one I think is even better IMO.
Saw 2 is my fave
I would say The Lighthouse is definitely a "wtf did I just watch" film. At least, it was the first film for me to make me genuinely say that.
But I also went in without seeing a trailer or knowing anything about it, so I was not really ready.
I didn't see this in theaters but got it on blu ray. I was amazed at the ending but then felt stupid at the same time lol
@@danieldietrich9969 that film was the revenant for me.
Damn, a minute and 30 seconds in, the movie hasn’t even started and your stomach is already bubbling. Nervous laughter, this is gonna be phenomenal!!
41:02 aww 🐶 got concerned ❤
Unfortunately Dr. Gordon couldn't have reached the gun until he cut his foot off
The ending made this go down in history
He could have took his shirt off and dragged it to him
In regards to the red light thing, photographers use to do it in a darkroom in complete darkness, which is obviously more difficult. So you can use a safelight, which is low lighting that allows you to see the photographs without ruining them or over-exposing them. Other colors can be used, but some of the most popular are red or amber. This helps to prevent any blue light, which the photographic paper has a sensitivity to, from affecting it's development. After it's processed through all necessary chemicals, it can then be viewed in regular light & not be ruined. Hope that answered your red light question, Jay..✌🏻
"Ewww, that's a Detroit bathroom right there" :D We all knew from previous reactions on your channel, it would probably come up, but its still always a good laugh when it does. Fair dues to you for taking on the Saw franchise, it ain't an easy one to watch.
Lol, the jokes on Detroit always make me laugh as well.
I'm telling you, the shit that comes out of your mouth during these reactions makes my day! Hilarious! I don't care how bad of a day I'm having. I know your video will make me smile and put me back in a good mood! I never would have thought watching a total stranger watch a movie could be so great!
41:14
During the climactic twist reveal, even the dog was like “yoooooo tfff?!”
Your co-pilot there licking your left arm is beyond hilarious. Thanks for the entertainment!
...and Romulus finally gets to fully realize his dream of being a therapy dog!💖🐕
Oh, I know the puppers were cuddled after this 🐶🐶 I liked the first one, less gory and more suspenseful than I expected.
Wait, the _series?_ You're gonna watch all of them? This is probably a good time to say that this one's great as a standalone film, otherwise we better start a GoFundMe to pay for J's therapy.
The twist in this movie is so darn good. Not an excellent movie, but a really darn good horror/thriller. So cool to see early James Wan, and one way or another, it’s a really unique story that set a huge trend for years to come (for better or worse).
I would say it is an excellent movie. 🤷♀️
@@believeume122 - That's certainly fair. It is my favorite of James Wan's movies (though not his best, again, in my opinion). But rating-wise, I can't give it excellent. The film-making is still too juveniule in a way.
We wanted to walk right back into the theater & see it again
@@maximillianosaben No, it is excellent.
Before the movie starts I just wanna say... I BELIEVE IN YOU
😂 Let me tell you a little TRUE story…
When this picture came out, I asked my
Sister to go to the movies 🍿 with me..
She is terrified with horror movies 🎥
I had NO IDEA how this movie was…
I told her, Danny Glover is in this movie,
And there is NO WAY he would ever act
In a horror movie 🎦
LITTLE DID I KNOW 😂😂😂
Still too this day, she has not forgiven me. 😂
Great reaction, as always ❤
Love from Iceland 🇮🇸 🦋🦋🦋
The fact that he gets grossed out easily tickles me. I love his reactions. ❤ Also SAW....Classic.
Your reaction to the toilet scene was gold lmao
The 1st Saw is a masterpiece. The rest are just shock and gore, but it's like watching two cars about to crash. You can't believe what you're seeing.
I disagree! The saw franchise as a whole is pretty dam good. It’s not even Gorey to be gorey it has a purpose. They all have a heavy tone
@@plaguedoctor5657 he’s right in the sense that you don’t really see the “traps” in real time in the first one.
He’s wrong overall through. Most people act like the story line doesn’t matter in the sequels. The sequels are full of backstory and interesting characters and to disregard that and say it’s just shock and gore is not correct. It’s usually what people who have never seen them say.
Disagree. The storyline is great and John Kramer is one of the most interesting characters of all time, imo.
No spoilers, but it will get progressively more and more horrifying.
Great reaction! Saw has a unique ending that leaves everyone questioning "WTF?!" Good series. I'm with you on Danny Glover! God Bless Him!
I know that the horror genre isn't your thing, and that you get grossed out easily, but I for one am excited that you're going to be watching the entire Saw series because I know your commentary and reactions are going to be hilarious the whole way through
I've never seen anyone so mad at anything as my man was at the ending of this movie. And there's 8 more of em
"ohhhh, you're bullsh!ting!?"
"What the Fk'ed did I just watch?!"
Best moments in this reaction. You can tell that this ending instantly turned this man into a major fan to the Saw franchise's.
Me watching in the first 30 seconds: I don't think he's gonna make it. LOL
Thanks for doing these man! Love Saw! It's more than just a gory film franchise. It's about morals.
I'm so hyped you're doing these movies. The traps are a staple throughout the series, and I'm here for all of it.
You asked who wrote this, it was the guy you kept wanting the doctor to shoot. Leigh Whannell played the photographer. Him and James Wan wrote Saw.
I can't watch anything that Cary Elwes is in without hearing, "As you wish".
This was the first video up on UA-cam this morning, I immediately pressed play saying, “OMG, I’m so sorry for you. This is going to be great.”
If you choose to continue, I would definitely watch 2 and 3, maybe 4.
This movie sparked an insurgence of “Escape Room” movie craze.
I re-watched Saw today, and then the others weren't available on the app I was on so I didn't feel like searching for streaming info. I then pulled up and re-watched Escape Room & Escape Room: Tournament of Champions lol. So sometimes you get the urge to binge some of those & then go look for reactions :) I was just waiting until I re-watched Saw to watch J do his reaction :)
29:06 - it's a red room for pictures because when you're developing photographs in those chemicals, they're light sensitive. Even so much as a normal lightbulb turning on in that room will destroy the photograph's image completely. The red bulbs are dim, you can see and the photos are safe until they're developed
LMFAOOOOOOOOO
This reaction is gold 😩👏🏽
I remember seeing this in theaters. The ending had us all shook!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Epic movie ❤
When you’re four minutes and thirty seconds into the “Saw” franchise and you’re declaring “stop showing it,” that’s how you know you’re REALLY in for it.
The movie gave you a huge hint in the beginning about who Jigsaw was when it showed the old man laying up in the hospital. Take a close look at the papers on his bed table. It shows his plans for the face trap/device.
“You woke up in Detroit, little boy.” Is funny but depending on the block, you’ll have ten houses with five of them burned out, four of them boarded up, and one that has this bathroom 🤣
That has got to be one of the best reactions I've seen, period. When J runs out of "Oh STFU!"'s at the end and just shakes saying "Ohhhhh!' That had me in stitches. Love it.
I'm a 50ish year old woman and I finally watched the first one, all the way to the newest one. Not what I expected at all and I loved every one!
Lmao. My first thought when I saw what was on the schedule for today was "How in the hell is JL & his notoriously known weak stomach gonna get through this?" 😂😂 Not just the gruesome deaths, but the bathroom scene with the "doo-doo heart"🤣☠ & the digging through the toilet & all.. Needless to say, I was not disappointed. Lol! Jay, we still got nothing but love for you, my brother.. Great reaction, Sir.. Proud of you..❤✌🏻
*Gags* "Ugggh. I still got 1 hour & 14 minutes left of this movie.."😂😂🤢🤮🤮
Late to the party, but so happy I made it here for the premiere! This is my most anticipated episode of the week easily!
The red room or the dark room, is used to develop your own pictures from film rolls, for the process of developing it needs to be done with no bright lights it'll mess up the prints which is why the red. And I'm so sorry you have to go through this. These are f'ed up movies for sure. I have so much love and respect for you dude buckle up, you're in for a wild ride with this franchise.
When he pulled the cover off the jig saw puppet and it jump scared you, it jump scared me too. First time ever! Echo: "OOOOOH!...SHUDDUP." - you and me both.
Love your Major Payne reference @ 19:39 "if he's in there, he ain't happy" 😂😂
I can tell when this video started you are nervous cause your dog is licking your arm trying to calm you down. ❤️ I love caring and kind dogs
Bro I never thought about it that way but calling John an evil batman is such a fitting comparison
"..Jigsaw is from Detroit" 💯
Oh my Lawd, you took me all the way out. 🤣
Funny story. I was a brand new hire (Maintenance)at an apartment complex with a same brand new manager at the time. DVD's were relatively new and "Traci" the new manager wanted to impress 'BACOREALITY' by creating a FREE DVD loan program to the residents in the Company. I suggested 'SAW' be the 1st.... HOLY SH!T!!!! Corporate came out with a memo and said that TIM (ME) was not allowed to suggest movies anymore.....Please put that on my grave. :)
One of the greatest thrillers of all time! Jigsaw's motivation makes him sort of an anti-hero
Amidst all the chaos, I love the look J gives when Danny Glover tries to hide behind the little pole.
My grandma had a witch doll of about one meter high that had the same laugh as the puppet. She'd take it out of storage during halloween time. It was motion activated and right outside my bedroom door. It scared the sh*t out of me a few times.
The way your dog was checking on you was so cute lol
Can't wait to see all of them . Don't leave too much time between them so you don't lose the story
🤣😂🤣😂 "WTF did I just watch?!" 🤣😂🤣😂
Thank you for reacting to this! The only thing I'll say about the rest of the films in the main series (the first 7 movies) - they all interconnect with each other in interesting ways. Looking forward to your reactions to the rest of these!
Whats genious is beyond all the false jigsaw possibilities and twists the fact that john found the literal most safest place to be untill the entire game was over is amazing to me. He coulda been behind a curtain somewhere watching everything on tvs but no he was smarter than that. Cause who what suspect or shoot a dead body. Even the cop if he got to the room would never find the real jigsaw that day.
I love the Saw movies and when I saw the notification saying that was tonight's reaction I got so excited because I knew your reaction would be amazing and you didn't disappoint. I can't wait til the next one. Just think, only 8 more to go!!
Not him freaking out about the dirty bathroom the most 😂😂
I'm not a fan of this series, but still wanted to give you props for agreeing to work through it. So have a comment and upvote and I'll let it play through so it doesn't through off your average time :P
Knowing that your not a fan of gore this was such an exciting surprise to see you watch Saw. Lol. I have the whole series and boy it just gets worse. Love the reaction 😊
The blonde guy who sawed his own leg off, also played Westley/The Man in Black in Princess Bride. 😂
Chimed in late, but just wishing everybody a great day and stay chill 🙏🏼
I was waiting the whole video to see your reaction to the end of this movie! Absolutely worth it! Iove this movie. Anytime I hear the saw theme start at the end of the movie I get chills all over my body because I know something epic is going to be revealed.
Lord he watched it! 😂
Gonna apologise for laughing now 😅❤
The definition of the entire Saw franchise is “thanks for playing” haha.
I've only ever seen the first one. SAW it in theaters on a date w/my wife before she was my wife, and she had the exact same reaction you did when jigsaw gets up off the floor, LMFAO. Love your reactions and classification of anything Detroit related.
I was so close predicting a "look at this Detroit bathroom" got a "Detroit a** tub"
Now you really should watch all of them because the story line follows along thru all movies.
YES! YES! YES! Eight.more.movies! I thinks the gore in the later movies is were they jumped the shark for me.
that was so sweet when your dog checks on you if your alright at the end of the movie
"jigsaw is from Detroit"😭😭😭
@ Red lights for pictures developing:
These types of pictures depend on how much light the film/paper is exposed to while developing. Red light doesn't affect the outcome, but a normal lit room would make all the pictures turn black. Once they're finished developing, you can turn the light back on.
“That’s a plan for the Detroit Room”- I diedddd 😂
I LOVE that JL is completely unconcerned about the existential threat that these men face - the very likelihood of death and dismemberment…what gets JL is the state of that bathroom with the doodoo toilet and nasty floors 😂😂 (I feel him tho). He’s only peripherally concerned about the rest of it - his true concern is filth and “DOODOO HEARTS” 🤣🤣🤣
Man that ending was 🤯🤯🤯🤯.
The 2nd is one of my favorites! The twist is wild too 😮 just wait!!!
The 2000s was a great time for horror movies.
The Saw movies came out every October. So it was a great time for horror fans, going to the movies every October to see the new Saw movie was like tradition.
The next movies are more gory and violent but they all connect to the previous movies.
These were like what the Friday the 13th series was in the 80s. One every year.
"And I know y'all are laughing," 😂 I was not only laughing I was pissing myself with laughter. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
‘Jigsaw from Detroit’ ☠️😆
Glad that J recognized the Dee-troit swimming pool at the beginning.
I love how you described Jigsaw as The Bad Batman. And yes, John Kramer "Jigsaw" is an engineer.
The dog is like you good fam 42:16 😭so cute
This series was a lot more fun than I gave it credit for when I finally got around to them. Can't wait for the rest of reacts to them bruv.
I somehow got distracted when I started this video when it first posted and didn't remember it until the Saw II reaction posted. I don't know what could have distracted me, because the moment I saw the thumbnail I realized the only thing I wanted to do was see this particular man watch Saw.
Yo this is one of the wildest horror joints put together. Big shoutout to you for hanging in there. 😂
"Detroit bathroom." 🤣😂🤣The shade.... THE SHADE! I love it 😂
Danny Glover's Knees need a stunt double.
No Spoilers, Yes there are tones of props the traps get better for the most part because since the first one was so successful James Wan (Modern Master of Horror) got a bigger budget from that point forward. So after watching your reactions you need to pay attention to the Director more often because James Wan has scared you more times than you know ;). James Wan did Saw, Conjuring, Insidious and many more great horror movies. Dead Silence is a movie he did that deserves more praise. He works more as a producer now days since his name is so big he gets shit made and made very well.
No one gives Leigh Wannell his props but on top of writing and starring in his movie, he directed the criminally underrated Upgrade and then did the critical and commercial success The Invisible Man. Both are mega talented guys.
@@xavvi very much so, they are still friends to this day. Writers are indeed important and both Wannell and Wan wrote the motion picture saw that we all went to see in theaters. originally Wannell wrote the short that lead to the first film. Which Wan also directed that short.
Big debate could be had as to who is the most important part of a film, many parts can make or break a movie. But no movie has ever survived a bad director. In the end once its written and handed off to the director when it comes to movies the writer from that point forward really has no say so in what happens, what we see in the film in the end is always the directors vision, doesn't matter if the director was inspired by their own writing or someone else's writing the film we see in the end is the Directors vision of the movie not the writers.
Now TV is a bit different its kinda the opposite that the writer is top dog.
Fantastic reaction J Man 🙌. The plot drop at the end was 🤯! I have only seen 1 and 2. This the kinda movie that gets my stomach bubbling for real 😂😅!
I love your reactions and I love this series, so I clicked the second I noticed the title. As someone who enjoys this series, I'd completely understand if you didn't finish it, but I will be cheering you on for as long as you'll go 😅 The story is amazingly told, but it's easy to understand why it's a hard watch. Can't wait to see the rest of this series!
Your post movie commentary had me in legit tears 😂😂😂😂
