,hey jegan, Many points mentioned by you about FD are incorrect and misguiding 1.FD can be given as collateral(5paisa accept FD as collateral). 2. A bank FD created online can be redeem online anytime i.e. without visiting branch and funds are transferred instantly in your bank account. while debt mutual fund can be redeemed during market timing i.e. 9:15AM to 3:00PM and it takes 1-2 days to receive the funds in bank account. 3. Interest rate on FD and RD are usually same.Interest rate of FD and RD is usually based on tenure of the deposit not the type of product. 4. interest earned upto 5lac is tax free if you do not have any other source of income but debt mutual fund income is taxable at 10% or 15% as per type of capital gains irrespective of your income tax slab. 4.FD can be given as collateral(5paisa accept FD as collateral).
Can we do the same thing with NIFTYBEES? I mean i will buy NIFTYBEES every month as SIP and after that i can pledge the ETFs for Margin and using that margin i will sell/buy option.
Yes you can sell. But if there is a huge upmove in Nifty you will either have to do too many complicated adjustments Or lose some part of the profit in long term holdings..
Dear Sir With Franklin India fiasco It seems debt mutual funds are not safe I have invested Rs 2 lacs in various liquid funds of FI They closed the schemes and returning invested amount in phases I can’t redeem total units

Most genuine financial knowledge
Can we do the same thing with NIFTYBEES? I mean i will buy NIFTYBEES every month as SIP and after that i can pledge the ETFs for Margin and using that margin i will sell/buy option.
U can sell with that money but u can't buy options
Yes you can sell.
But if there is a huge upmove in Nifty you will either have to do too many complicated adjustments Or lose some part of the profit in long term holdings..
@@dssbabu3268 Thank you...
@@pran10000 but what if there is a huge down move. Is my position will be squared off due to shortage of margin?
@@subhadutta5065 I seriously doubt that.
For example, at present 1 Nifty lot is about 10L and margin needed to sell 1 lot is 1L.
Super and crystal clear video sir!! Great and thanks!!!
Hi Jegan , How to handle if any default in dept . Like Templeton dept MF issue.
You can only take preventive steps.
Once it happens, nothing can be done.
By diversification of debt funds.. U can play safe.. Once damage is done nothing to do accept loss or seek judicial remedy
Go for gilt fund. They're by government 🙄
Dear Sir
With Franklin India fiasco
It seems debt mutual funds are not safe
I have invested Rs 2 lacs in various liquid funds of FI
They closed the schemes and returning invested amount in phases
I can’t redeem total units

Sir when the interest rate decreases debt return increases and vice-versa isn't it?
my question is ..in worst case scenario can value of my investment in debt fund be less than what i intially invested ?.. can interest rate in debt be in negative ?.....anyone?... thx
Yes.
There is no interest rate in debt MF.
There is buying price and selling price according to NAV.
During last year's market crash even liquid funds NAV had crashed. Go and check..
Yes.. Nav can fall suddenly.. In 2019.. Vodafone company defaulted on loan payments.. Nav of my debt funds fell..
choose debt MF which invests in government securities or directly invest in government securities
