I really enjoy New Rockstars, they usually only breakdown TV and Movies and this was their first time doing a music video. Apparently a ton of people requested they break down Not Like Us cause they're pretty damn good at this.
I watched an old interview with Kendrick he said that he likes when the fans over analyze his videos and most of the time we his fans are right in the analysis.
The shipping container scene was In reference to “The Wire” season 2 episode 2, sex trafficking episode called “Collateral Damage “ . That’s why the next scene was girl dancing on “The Wire”.
They also said the painting could've been an invitation to the white party Drake was at because their invitations were custom paintings. Plus Kendrick was wearing an all white outfit and did the wave at the end. Edit: Definitely would've missed the Wire reference though
Idk where I saw it, but someone said that the owl in the cage doesn't mean what we all think. They said that from the owl's perspective there's no cage, but from Kdot's there is. Saying that Kdot can see what Drake can't, that's he's trapped.
