*_Despite the Mick Jackson original reaching a #61 peak on the Billboard Hot 100 in September 1978, Epic Records that month released the Jacksons' version of "Blame It on the Boogie" as the advance single from the Destiny album. Although "Blame It on the Boogie" returned the Jacksons to the Hot 100 after five flop singles, it was not the single to effect a major comeback for the Jacksons, peaking at #54; it would be the follow-up, "Shake Your Body (Down to the Ground)", which would briefly restore the Jacksons' Top Ten fortunes. However, "Blame It on the Boogie" did reach #3 R&B and would be coupled with "Shake Your Body (Down to the Ground)" on an extended club play single which would reach #20 on the dance charts in 1979_*

Michael was so good even when he didn't want to put his all into a song it still sounded great even into his later years that man's still has tones of unrelased music that was good but he felt he didn't give it all so he never released it cause they were not good enough for him ... Always the profectioist love you Uncle Michael rest in heaven

@@caiooliveira4586 I'm aware of his body dysmorphia, I'm just saying Michael looked a little more sane before the nose surgeries in about 1979, of course he still would've had vitiligo, I sympathize with him on the contrary, so I'm not insensitive. What I mean by the 70s/early 80s Michael and the later 80s Michael being two different Michaels, is that he didn't look beaten down yet by Hollyweird and the press. Michael still looked like an alive soul. Insensitive jokes aside, what I'm trying to say in actuality is fame and the industry slowly destroyed the man. Some would even say his father sacrificed him as a child. He was a cash cow since he was 10 years old. It's a depressing and tragic reality of child stars. Being that young he wasn't supposed to be exposed to all that sexual degeneracy of night clubs (the Jackson 5 played in nightclubs before huge popularity to make a buck). Which probably played a role in him not being able to trust women and made him not able to really have a serious relationship. Michael was a broken soul from the beginning. His father Joseph was mean for insulting his appearance, skin color and his nose, not a monster but definitely a bully.
That's what I've been saying for the longest.People always try to throw Marlon a bone saying he was always a better dancer than MJ.Truth was he was always an annoying copycat. He couldn't sing for shit he was just there period and I don't care what others say that's the way it was.
