I heard you say that you are considering creating a retreat just for parents. That’s a wonderful idea! If you do plan a retreat just for parents, will you offer a special session on developing intellectual and spiritual maturity in Black boys? With so many single mothers, Black boys and teenagers suffer from lack of guidance, training, and mentoring from mature, productive men. Although mothers try to do their best as a parent, they have never been men and don’t know how to tell their sons how to be a successful, productive man with a strategy for meeting achievable goals. Frankly, I believe mothers coddle and pamper their sons too much. Boys and men respond better to male leadership.
As for me and my house....It all begins in the home, whether there is one or both parents in a home. When we as heads of our household, begin early raising up a child in the way he shall go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it, teaching the children the word of God, that's when the intellectual and spiritual development begins. We as parents have to live our lives in a way that demonstrates the importance of these qualities of life, matter to us as well. My other point is that it's not just black boys who need teaching, society and it's culture, has flipped roles for both boys and girls. And currently saying you are not the person God created, the new struggle as parents, gender ID's. No Judgement just speaking truth in love, God Bless
The word "soon" can also mean "suddenly." So when you hear people say, "Jesus is coming soon," that can mean suddenly, as when He comes for His Church in the rapture.
