Great video yep, watched to the end. I've been riding that area for years and yes, lots of whoops but you kinda get used to it. I was unable to attend this year, shoulder issues, ride the 60 class and still enjoy it, hope see yea in the spring!
That WAS a long special test. I'm kinda with you in regards to how I ride an ISDE.....I pretty much ride the same pace in the tests as I do in the transfer sections. The race is just too long for me to really crank on it at any given time. I'm glad to see the dust wasnt too bad for you guys.
Yeah I didn’t really know what to expect, but once I saw my time sheet I knew it was going to be a long day lol. Course was pretty good, some dust but I didn’t think it was to bad compared to what we are used to.
Wow! This is like an iron man marathon! I’m impressed-5 hrs, 100 miles who knew? That’s an incredible feat and you stuck right with it, even through all the pain. That’s just what it is to love dirt biking…..
Right on Danny, such rad work for never having been here before. Great job adapting to the terrain and surviving this beast of a race! Camping there is gnarly...REAL cold at night. I find myself asking the same question you did at the start- 'how does one practice for 100 miles of whoops?'😆
Yeah sir, it was a totally different event than what I’m used to, but overall pretty fun experience, we shall see what next year brings. Great seeing you out there, can’t wait to see how your race went on the tube.
@@fivetwentythreepov I'll have a vid of test 3 up soon. I was pretty thrashed when I finally turned the camera on, but I'm glad I waited until I was tired to tape some!
Yeah I think on loop would’ve been easier, but the second loop was way funnier than the first at this one. Bummer I was so tired. But next year I think the 50 plus class is one loop so I may show up for that.
So glad you got footage.👍 Great riding dude.🔥🔥 If you got off course no one would ever find you...😂 Had me rolling dude. Love it. Glad I wasn't the only one to take off on a special test with gusto and ripping....then 3 mins in slow back down and completely forget I was in a special test before I got to the end of it.😂
Yeah it was hard for me to find a pace between the check point and then trying to go faster through the tests, the longer I was out there I was just trying to survive lol.
Props for just attempting such a challenge. The older I get the more laid back my riding has become. If I were to buy a new bike, I think I would buy a Beta 300RX.
Fun race. Haven’t run it in years. I don’t like the cold start rules at all. (TPI bike) They could give you more of a break at the gas. A time keeper enduro usually has a 30 minute break halfway through for the gas stop and you gas at your truck. (Think sit in a lawn chair and eat your sandwich) ISDE rules were to test bike reliability and with a modern bike they are kind of a moot point.
Hey this was great!
Im racing here this year at end of april. Your vid helped me understand a bunch of the logistics and trails... thanks!!!
Glad you liked it and found it helpful, good luck out there 👍👍.

Thanks for watching till the end, that’s awesome. And yes see you next year hopefully.

Man I must really love it to keep doing this stuff. Yes, yes I do love dirt bikes.
I rode out there once few years back and the whoops beat the hell outta me..of course i am 55..never saw so many whoops
I know man, I had heard the stories about the whoops and thought I was mentally prepared, nope, not even close. It was brutal.

@@highdesertaggrorc7801 right on, you definitely have to pick when to record in a race as long as this one.
I wouldn’t race out there, but it’s a fun area to trail ride. Or maybe now I would race it because my class only does the first loop.

I love the isde format so fun!
Yes it is. Definitely different from anything I have raced before, but I had a good time, when I was done suffering lol.
I did the lonewolf isde and devils head isde this year lone wolf was like hrs in the tillamook
@@smileyjoe88 sounds like a good time, there is a bunch of fun stuff up there from what I have heard.

Thanks man, and yes I have been looking at the Betas, they are the best looking brand out there right now imo.

I agree, I like the sounds of a time keeper 👍.
I’m enjoying my 2023 500exc
Love the 500’s, I have a 21 excf myself, it’s pretty detuned compared to yours, it would be a fun ride I think.
@@fivetwentythreepovI’ll be starting to race my 500 in the spring
@@Oregon86Silverado_12v awesome, what series you gonna run? The 500 is a good choice 👍.
