@@EightyBeat like I just finished learning something that has almost nothing to do with my field of study, BUT I also feel great knowing that I finished it.
WOW. Now it all makes sense! I was just crying because I couldn't understand my online chem class, and I feel like I learned more in watching two videos than I did all week studying and emailing my instructor. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU
This is the most helpful chemistry channel ever on youtube!! Better explanation than any school or coaching teachers, trust me. You made my life a hell lot easier, thank you so much❤️❤️
I was having a difficult time understanding this in Chemistry until I watched this video; it was better instruction than what my chemistry teacher gave me. I have a test on this topic soon, and I hope a receive a wonderful score!
@@puddleduck1405 I got an 83%, so it wasn't too bad. I also apologize for not responding to you for awhile. I was on Spring Break and I wanted to relax and clear my mind. However, regardless of that, I hope you got a good grade on your exam! What did you score? 😊
@@annieleonhart365 oooooh niece! Thats probably an A* cos the grade boundaries in chem r quite low. I haven't got it back yet haha, and I dont go back to school for another 2 weeks.
this channel has saved me more than id like to admit, this channel in 30 minutes has taught me more than my chem teacher has taught me all year (it's the end of april) thank you ketzbook!!
There's somethings that can't be left appreciated and this is one of them, I was reading my chemistry notes and I couldn't understand it but you gave me hope. So all I wanna say is Thank you Sir.
Oh my goodness, thank you! I was dying on Khan Academy with this topic. Appreciate the pep, clarity, repetition/summary, and especially your telling us up front why it matters.
thank you!! it seems my class didn't really go over this and my end of year exam is tomorrow ^^; thanks for teaching me! it was quick and easy to understand, hopefully it'll come through tomorrow morning :)
Omg omg thank you for this vid 😭😭😭😭😭😭 i srsly couldn't understand a word of vsepr theory and you made it look sooooo freaking eaassssyyyyy thank youuuu. Subscribed!!!!!
I wish you had a link to where I could pay (thank you) for all you have done. I couldn't pay a tutor to explain this to me the way that you did in 14 minutes.. I appreciate you and all that you do. Thank you.
Thank you for your kind words! I recently started accepting memberships ($2/mo). Although I don't really do anything with it right now, I might do live videos in the future.
According to internet: *five electron domains around central atom is trigonal bypramidal, six electron domainds around a central atom is octahedral* There also SUB shapes, like T-Shaped, etc.
well, the "internet" is not a real resource but a collection of many resources (some reliable, some not), but yes, in my next molecular geometry video I will include "expanded octet" shapes such as the ones you mentioned.
Hi sir, can you explain further related to geometrical shape of formaldehyde? Because according to what I learnt in school ,double bond is treated the same way as single bond, so it's actually trigonal planar with 120 degree.
You are making my life so much easier. If I could afford to give you money I would but sadly I'm a broke college student. One day I'll return the favor!
Thank you so much for this video. we are doing these right now in Chem, so hard to think when we are looking at them 1 dimensional when all have different shaped! And how they pair!!! ❤
❤❤❤ oh wow, I will keep watching and learning through this your well explained and interesting video❤❤❤ oh I have a test coming up and this is one of the topics that are giving me problems, but I have found a solution to it! I thank you 🙏🙏♥️💥♥️♥️
I'd like to, but I'm quite busy with my own teaching and now writing recommendations. Most of the videos I'm publishing now I made over the summer and am just editing and publishing now... I will keep this in mind.
When two atomic orbitals combined they form two molecular orbitals antibonding molecular orbital and bonding molecular orbital then how do they exist is there any force of attraction between antibonding and bonding molecular orbital in a molecule

by far the best video about VSEPR on youtube.

This is quite literally the most helpful video I’ve watched for chemistry Tysm dude

Best tutor of all time!
thanks!
Someone tell me how a 12 min video was more clear than my professor's 2 hr lecture LMAOOOO
They might know what they are doing but can't convey what it is in words to their audience! I had a few like this!
Because there's no student talking over him
Gosh u just saved my entire AS education in a single video
the best video on the whole internet....
I hope everyone will see this channel and learn chemistry in an easy way. keep up the good work @ketzbook respect+
thanks for the support!
this video has helped me the most by far in understanding VSEPR theory, I have a test in two days and was stressing out, now am a bit more calm
This is much clearer than the way my professor explains it. Thank you. Am preparing for PA school, and this has been very helpful.
Glad it was helpful!
What an amazing chemistry teacher. Ur class as tough as the toughest chemistry instructor I have ever met

Thank you! I had learned this is chemistry a few days ago and couldn't wrap my head around why something was what shape. This helped a lot!
I'm gonna name my kids after you. Thank you!

Why did CO2 become a double bonded pair instead of keeping 3 lone pairs around both Oxygens? Please answer
Oxygen atoms have 6 valence electrons, and with a double bond it has no formal charge either
Thank you sir

holy shimmy i needed this thank you
SO2 has two double bonds, you need to make sure the formal charge on the individual atoms is 0.
You know a video is good when you want to screenshot everything to put in your notes
can you PLEASE do hybridization, sigma and pi bonds? they’re so confusing
