    Why did CO2 become a double bonded pair instead of keeping 3 lone pairs around both Oxygens? Please answer

      Oxygen atoms have 6 valence electrons, and with a double bond it has no formal charge either

    According to internet: *five electron domains around central atom is trigonal bypramidal, six electron domainds around a central atom is octahedral* There also SUB shapes, like T-Shaped, etc.

      well, the "internet" is not a real resource but a collection of many resources (some reliable, some not), but yes, in my next molecular geometry video I will include "expanded octet" shapes such as the ones you mentioned.

    Hi sir, can you explain further related to geometrical shape of formaldehyde? Because according to what I learnt in school ,double bond is treated the same way as single bond, so it's actually trigonal planar with 120 degree.

    SO2 has two double bonds, you need to make sure the formal charge on the individual atoms is 0.

    When two atomic orbitals combined they form two molecular orbitals antibonding molecular orbital and bonding molecular orbital then how do they exist is there any force of attraction between antibonding and bonding molecular orbital in a molecule
