Really appreciate your enthusiasm for the car hobby and your videos. If you ask me (middle aged gear head building a '46 Ford Business Coupe hot rod in my garage), your Mustang was the coolest car at the drive up. Any a-hole with money can buy their way into "the club." You are making your own way, making it all yours, and years from now you will be proud of the hard work and knowledge you gained. Plus, your Dad seems like one very rad dude (Bedlam). Go Four Speed! Keep moving forward!
Stopped in there in the late 90’s, riding motorcycles up through there. Was having a burger outside at a table and up drives Jay Leno in his gigantic old Bentley race car. We hung out a chatted a while, super nice guy. Nice video, love the ‘stang! Thanks man👍
That will be one of the 1st spots I'll drive to in the daytime with my GTS (AE86-4 weeks or less). Always drove at night, but up to Red Box road. Great meeting you at Coffee and Cars LA.
Run some rubber fuel hose from the front to back vents on the carb and put a small hole at the top in the center, stops the vent from overflowing into the intake on braking
Get a piece of clear tubing of the appropriate size like is used for aquariums from home depot, cut a piece long enough that will reach from the front vent tube to the back vent tube on the carb....cut a shallow u shape out of the middle on top.....this will help with fuel spillover into the ventures under breaking & acceleration
It's a fun trip to make even if you aren't a huge car enthusiast due to the fun driving as well as the amazing scenery if you decide to stop along the route! It's always cool seeing the variety of cars that stop by. Also really cool seeing the same cars across different channels and videos given that the same people often visit on Friday.
cool videos man! if you are running a Holley carb, try installing jet extensions and a profiled float in the front bowl.. that will likely help the stalling on hard breaking, have done that with my own Camaro and several customer cars including a 73 mustang. Drag racers have run extensions in the rear float for year to help fuel flow under hard acceleration, but when you brake that hard you need the same but in reverse! jet extensions up front should help out
seeing my new edge mustang in your video was awesome. Same day I had a brake switch go out. pulled my battery so I didn't kill the battery after getting blocked in
true but not a lot here, 90% of the car meets here are people suffering from short d1ck syndrome trying to stunt around and trying to find out who's the loudest and most obnoxious in the group. Which i don't like to be at all that much
That looks like a fun crowd. I like the scruffy red Fastback Mustang and the one with the turbo inline 6. If you ever make white t-shirts I'll buy some, the black ones are hot AS BALLS and the white ones are 60s cool ya' know?
I hope to get my garbage roadtrip worthy to one-day head out to the canyons and get in on one of those gatherings. One of my dream road trips. I'm only about 7 hours away. Great video. 👍
These are super high quality vids bro!!! I love going up there. Did you go through the mount wilson opening? (It’s been closed for a while) or did you go through the back of the mountain?
I like your car more than most of the supercars. A bit prejudice in that my first car looked just like yours, color and everything, except convertible. (289 4bbl 4 spd) On the stalling. Check a vacuum leak from brake booster or hose to booster? Something causing a vacuum drop?
Thanks for sharing!! My buddy in Buena Park is just staying home because of the gas $$$$....must be killing you guys. Wish there were more vintage cars....even the vintage imports are cool. Modern exotics are OK.....but all it takes is cash! On your carb. If I have float issues one more time with my Holley I will switch to a Summit carb......a local guy has them on 3 cars.....swears by them. Not sure if you have 'obligations' with Holley.....I'd try one.
Any takers for first and second gear racing? I bet you ride can give them a good run. Did you upgrade to an electric fuel pump? A mechanical pump may not be able to keep up with the demand.
If I were a billionaire I’d just abt buy every car from the Model A onwards but having an old classic seems like something else when most modern cars look the same. Especially old Porsches even tho they rly haven’t changed all that much. What type of Porsche is at 6:19?
@@FourSpeedFilms It might take a while but you could be making a good living off the UA-cam. You have some of the best car videos out there but you have to be consistent to grow the audience and get on the algorithm. From there it takes off.
Don’t sell your Mustang short if you wanna beat those Porsches take your car to Glenn’s alignment in Costa Mesa think he can help you out the first thing I would do is get a hold of Porterfield brake in Costa Mesa and let them set you up Here’s a funny story my friend and I were in a 65 falcon in 1966 and we raced a Porsche for his front seats against $100 which we did not have we beat the Porsche made him pull the seats out right there on the spot and gave his girlfriend a ride home you can tell I’m not a big Porsche fan have a great day love your show289s forever

Thanks!

Porsche are my favorite manufacturer and being in the sea of Porsches feels like heaven!
Yes!
Cool cars. Casual meet. Can't beat it. I've never lived in CA but it seems like the state flower is poppy and the state car is Porsche LOL.
Thanks for watching!
Need to go there soon! Cool video

Great video! It's always cool to go to these kind of car meets and see so many different types of cars and their build path!
Thanks man!
Very cool, and glad to hear the carb adjustment helped (even if it needs a little more help). Keep up the faith!!!
Thanks!
Your car might be the oldest one there, but no Porsche or Lamborghini ever sounded as cool as a small block Ford!! 😎👍
Thanks!
Hey bandage . Yes sir , greatest automotive sound is a small block Ford . I have 65 Mustang 289 convertible . Old school hot rod etc, Awsome .
seeing my new edge mustang in your video was awesome. Same day I had a brake switch go out. pulled my battery so I didn't kill the battery after getting blocked in
The gt350?
Cool vibes
Thanks!
very epic.
Nice vibe, Nice cars,
Wish i was able to be there too but unfortunately i can't travel half way around the world just for a meet
Thanks! Maybe one day!
Lmao same
Car meets are everywhere! Just make a video of one from your corner of the world!

Cheers Ben, cool event!
It was!
Cool car club!
👌

I hope to get my garbage roadtrip worthy to one-day head out to the canyons and get in on one of those gatherings. One of my dream road trips. I'm only about 7 hours away.
Great video. 👍
You should!
Damn. Somedays I wish I lived in SoCal...but at least I don't have to deal with the gas prices out there.
Yeah gas is insane
Nah, the LA car scene will always be like the first Fast&Furious 😂 sick cars
Hey! Heading to LA Next week, any meets you know of ?? Thanks!
Porsches and super cars are over-rated hang onto to the 65 Mustang it's badass and a big part of American history brother
Thanks!
These are super high quality vids bro!!! I love going up there. Did you go through the mount wilson opening? (It’s been closed for a while) or did you go through the back of the mountain?
Watching from Cambodia
Awesome e
Take you steering box to Lee’s Power Steering in Santa Clarita they are the best!!
Do they have anything for manual?
Most likely it’s a huge shop. They are a little pricey but well worth it. They did one for my C10 and it feels like rack and pinion steering.
Reminds me of a place in Idyllwild. Why no hood?
I installed a new master cylinder and I have been adjusting my proportioning valve
Would love to bring the GA up there. What time do they meet? Do they cruise in group when they leave like Quarantine Cruise?
I would say they are up there from early morning to 11am

Did you upgrade to an electric fuel pump? A mechanical pump may not be able to keep up with the demand.
Yeah I could probably take a few new cars but only for a few seconds lol
Pretty sure that dude with red fastback actually have a super hopped in-line six and a UA-cam channel like Gus something
Cool!

You’ll need a big garage😅
Looks to me like something besides the Mustang has too short of a tube and is leaking…
haha
Id feel so out of place surrounded by cars the same price as my house
Yeah some of those cars are insanely expensive
Start putting out at least one video a every week and you’ll soon be pulling down enough dough to get that green Porsche.
I wish!

I hate Porsches that have that bubble headlight thing that sticks out 🤮
Does anyone here have a job. lol
Haha!
