Painting an Alien Landscape in Oil - Wet on Wet

- Hi all! Just playing around with some colors and a weird idea in my head. A mix of a crazy landscape from another world and some happy trees. Hope you enjoy it.
Apply liquid clear, then sections of prussian and phthalo blue, phthalo green, crimson, and a purple mix all over the canvas.
Another winner. I may try to paint it tomorrow. 😀
I followed along with this one and my son loved it. He wants me to do one for him and I will be doing that tomorrow. Thanks Bram.
I see an alien face looking down in the sky! Almost in the center - in your favorite area of the canvas! 😀

I'd also like to see you apply the base colors pls. I tried one of your milky way paintings but had to give up and wash it flat and start over twice. Still didn't turn out. And I'm sure it was my base that was the problem!

Turquoise would be pretty but isn't transparent. Try it and see how it works.

Brahm, when doing the pine trees are you thinning down your paint? I know thin paint stick to thick paint but I have the hardest time getting the trees to show and finding a happy medium. I LOVE THIS..
How do you get the base colours to look like that? They have perfect edges and look so well blended. It also looks very glossy, do you use alot of liquid clear?
Really beautiful and really unique. Did you use titanium white to blend in the background or was it liquid white to make the sky
Titanium white only. Liquid clear is the base medium.

It would be beneficial if you did not lay color down before starting your video if you are wanting this to be a tutorial that people can follow along with.. you didn't mention whether this was a black canvas this is the second video I have found of yours I would have followed along but didn't because it would be twice the work I would have to watch the video fully to figure out where you laid the colors. I like your work and if your intention is to have other artists like me follow along the setup is important on a walkthrough tutorial.
Wish youd do more live streams, but love your videos.

Black gesso is applied and allowed to dry. Then the liquid clear and then the transparent colors
You should just make them with black gesso. They look great and you can make them as you need them. I haven't ever bought a black canvas.
Do you paint the colour first then add the clear or do you apply the clear first then the colour?
Always. LC or your medium of choice then the colors.
