Come to the University of Maryland and have some fun! You will want to see the xfinity center, the stamp student union and the byrd stadium. UMD football is now part of the Big 10 and you will want to eat at the all you can eat south campus diner.

Does Maryland have good classes if you want to be in a medical type job?
I do believe so. I know Salisbury has a really good nursing program though. I can tell you the med program at UMD is challenging which I would say is a great thing. I have friends in the program who are doing well and I believe like it. It is tough though. But thats what you need in college. And good for you for looking already!
Zoe idk if you care anymore atill being a freshman but undergrad don’t matter for med, like you can go anywhere as long as you got a good GPA

I am currently looking at this school and I really appreciated this video! I have a couple of questions if you don't mind.
1. I am gluten free and vegan, do you think that I would have trouble finding food I can eat at this school?
2. Are the students very politically involved? I am looking for a more liberal school in a blue state after living in Texas my whole life.
3. I have heard that student athletes "rule the school" and are considered to be the most important people on campus? Is this true?

No, the diner is supposedly gluten free and vegan friendly. I saw supposedly because I dont eat those foods but I know they have a section for those kind of foods. Also we have a student coop that is great and might have some foods that work. I am more than happy to answer your questions

To answer your question it's a complicated one. The school really is so big that if you don't want to be involved in politics you can easily avoid it. It is a public school so the government does play a role in how something for work. When it comes to sports players I meet again you really don't have to worry about thatbecause the school is so big and you can live your college life's about athletes being a problem. They do seem to get a lot of attention and moneyfrom the school but that shouldn't affect you
Luke Makris Okay thank you! That's good to know! Are you originally from Maryland or did you apply from out of state? I have heard that it is much harder to get into the school if you are not living in MD.
I am from annapolis but love to travel. I actually leave for my second USA road trip on friday. I do not know about whether it is harder if you are out of state. No one actually knows that for a fact. That is private information like at any university and they can say whatever they want to prospective students. I can say that if your grades are very good though then you should be able to get in.
Is there any clubs or committee which provides free meals?

My son is coming in the fall, we just visited this past weekend. I have been to a few schools when I was young and all I can say this school is beautiful. We were walking around and decided to eat in the diner, I was amazed at the selection! A friend of my son who is a freshman this year said the south campus diner is the best, I guess we were at the north but I can't imagine anything being better? I joked that we were sending him on a 4 year cruise. I wish I could go it looks great.
lol I like the cruise description! And the funny thing is most students complain about the diner so its good to hear someone else likes it like I do. It really is a great school and I only happened to come here by chance so I too am extremely excited I picked UMD. Let me know if I can be of any more help.

How are the dorms? I really want to go to this school it seems great! I’m a going to be a transfer in the fall (if I get accepted).
