Saturday morning in the 50's were the best time to watch tv. I knew every program on every channel from 9 to 12 noon by heart. Best time ever to be a kid!!
Wow..iv had this in my head for over 50yrs...i remember the song and them marching down the street..seeing this and hearing this makes me feel like a little kid again!
The Texas Rangers were broadcasted in Germany in the late 50's and early 60's. This series was the absolute favourite of me and my friends. Everyone wanted to be like Jace and Clay. The world was still okay in these days...
I was so young when I used to watch this on TV and I've never forgotten the tune or the opening and closing sequences. Thank you so much for bringing back these memories!
This was a great show. I like the entrance where Jace Pearson is walking alone and then joined by his partner and the other Texas Rangers. The ending is just as cool with the Rangers walking off leaving just Jace Pearson.
I used to watch re-runs of the show back in the early 60's... Getting up early saturday mornings to watch the show ! Great memories❤ Granma cooking breakfast , while us Kids watching the show !
I am in Canada. I met a guy whose family got out of Czechoslovakia during the upheaval in 1968. Apparently this series was shown on Czech TV. He remembered this intro very well.
Just watching Willard Parker's face filling the screen and then hearing the title song brings back a lot of childhood memories when I used to watch this in Melbourne Australia as a six year old boy in 1956. I just want to know what happened to the last 60 years. They've gone by so quickly.
Yeah me too! I’m also from Melbourne & loved watching it With my big brother in the late 1950’s, so many fantastic memories of a much easier going time as a young kid, my favourite shows were The Texas Rangers, Cannonball the series with that Detroit powered GMC!, Casey Jones & Rescue 8.
An old memory from when I was 7 yrs old I'm 63 now! Something I've noticed in all my years watching westerns I've never seen a cowboy who couldn't ride a horse well past or present. Thanks for the video :D
Jace's partner Clay was played by actor Harry Lauter, who usually played a bad guy in many TV westerns back in the day. Also, he played gangsters and other unsavory characters mostly and I was happy to see that he was a good guy in this series. Saturday mornings, Mighty Mouse, Fury, Ruff and Reddy, Heckle and Jeckle, and Sealtest Super Circus at noon. Then, The Lone Ranger a bit later. Good times.
This makes me think so much of my little brother, he loved this show, he wanted to be a Texas Ranger when he grew up, he was glued to the tv each afternoon this was on.
As a five or six year old I would have my single action six strapped high on my hip with white cowboy hat and vest, and march up and down my grandparents great room just like Jace with that song playing on their Rca Victor turntable stereo. At those moments, I WAS a Texas Ranger! You can ask my grandpa.
Nice enjoyable series. The intro and ending walk scenes were filmed from both ends of the western street seen at Corriganville movie ranch in Santa Susanna, California. Due to fires in around 1970's all that remains of Silvertown are cement foundations.
My younger brother absolutely loved this show. When he was in grade 1 our carpenter father happened to be on the news in a story about the building industry, my brother went to school the next day and for show and tell he proudly told the other children that his daddy was a "big time daddy Texas ranger" and his teacher promptly told him that he was a liar and to tell the truth. He came home from school very upset and my mother had to go down and put the teacher in her place. I remember the incident as clear as if it were yesterday. Some teachers can have positive lifelong effects on children's lives and some can also do much damage, as apparently my brother was not allowed to have an imagination!
Hello. Nice! I can imagine myself rewriting the lyrics for the MLB that was previously the Washington Senators but renamed after the Texas Ranger Division. Without the "Tales of the Texas Rangers," we wouldn't have "Lone Wolf McQuade" or "Walker."🤠
When I was a young boy in the late 1950s, my sister, Marguerite, and I used to watch this show on an old black-and-white Dumont TV every Saturday morning, along with the Mighty Mouse cartoon show, and others. Memories!
I was on a call with Officer Fred Kelly. It was late as I recall and involved an upset guy armed with a long gun. He had ran out of the house with the firearm into the alley behind his house. We knew which direction he took. Now lots of officers liked to drive around shining spot lights. I was a Walker. You know a stroll is healthy and the quiet of a night is pleasant. An armed guy is festive. Anyway I took off and Fred was with me. Now tactics are something that is taught over years. The correct way is to walk on each side of the alley. This keeps the city from having to hire more than one person if it is a shooting scrape. It also lets everyone fire at the threat if it shows up. So this was in the cowboy days. Most of us carried revolvers in swivel holsters. Lt Birdsong did not care what revolver we carried as long as it was a colt or smith that didn’t require a nose wheel to drag the barrel. Fred found a model 19 smith with a seven inch barrel or so. So being extra careful we were walking right down the middle of the alley. I said to Fred.. “this reminds me of Tales of the Texas rangers.” “I was just thinking the same thing!” We realized that we were insane and split to each side of the alley..
I watched this show quite a lot when I was a kid in Brisbane in the early 60s. Remember the title music very well, but can't remember any of the stories.
OUTRO: These are Tales of Texas Rangers A band of sturdy men Always on the side of Justice They'll fight and fight again All Texas Rangers sworn to duty Courageous, brave and true Ever marching, always ready To enforce the Law for you!!
INTRO: Here's the stalwart man of Texas Jace Pearson is his name His partner Clay is right beside him Each day has proved their fame All Texas Ranger's sworn to duty Their work is never through They fight and fight for right and justice To enforce the law for you.
Thank you I could never get the lyrics from the 3rd lime of the first verse been wondering for years just saw it now from 7 years ago.You made my night! Thank you it was on night time TV in Aus We always watched it tho!
Reminds of what Chuck Norris sang [the theme song] in Walker Texas Ranger. If you're ever down in Texas look behind you cause that's where a ranger's gonna be.
I'm in Japan and used to watch this program in my childhood every week evening. Introducing Japanese language theme song. ua-cam.com/video/WJrCb6rPZ7s/v-deo.htmlsi=He6cAAHbOrYK0YK8

Same for me and I always remembered that These Texas Rangers wore 2 white handle'd six shooters which was very impressionable for a 7 to 9 year old.

I was a boy in the 70s and I used to watch this in the Caribbean.
1961 in Queensland for me....simpler times.
I watched this in the 50s when I lived in the Bronx, NY
In the late 60's early 70's Sydney I think channel 9....
I an 77 yrs old I grew up with this show. And I just noticed every Ranger has 2 pistols.
I watched this a little boy. Still great in 2023.

This was one of my favorites I was in the Army with a guy who was a Texas Ranger. We went through Military Police school together.
Watched this as a little boy. It’s now 2023.

Sung to The Eyes of Texas
I haven't seen this since about 1961 when the show was probably in reruns. UA-cam let's you bring everything (almost) back! Thanks dfh.
You're most welcome, 59cadcoupe!!
Another one of my favorites from yesteryear.
Don't figure out my age, but have a Happy Thanksgiving.
Julia ........ I'm 74 ........ never a need to be shy about that!!

Sorry 4th line of first verse
.
Cool intro
Ah yes, The Texas Rangers...
As Law Enforcement bodies go, One of the best P.R. exercises ever... (Right up there with the Canadian Mounties!)
For me Joel McRae is Jace Pearson.
The theme song is "The Eyes of Texas" which ripped off "I've Been Working On The Railroad" which ripped off the "Levee" song which ripped off.....
frankly, outro is terrifying
a bunch of the samey men without faces walking towards you
A LONG way from the inept Fraidy Cats in Uvalde!
Reminds of what Chuck Norris sang [the theme song] in Walker Texas Ranger. If you're ever down in Texas look behind you
cause that's where a ranger's gonna be.
The latter footage shot at midday.........terrible lighting. In fact no lighting. Just shadow faces. That was TV.
sure were a spiffy looking bunch back then.
If you don’t mind me asking where you got this video from? And can I use it for my high school project?
Feel FREE to use, my Dear!
@@dfh1950Thank you very much :)
Later episodes of Tales of the Texas Rangers replace the TV Tube on the Screen Gems logo with Columbia's Torch Lady.
Was hab ich diese Serie geliebt
Ich stimme Ihnen zu. Diese Serie war wirklich herrvoragend!
Always wondered why the other rangers left him alone at the end. Had they all been killed? It was a nice, dramatic touch.
It was just the reverse of the Intro ...... where Jace started out alone and it ended w/ him alone.
I can't seem to find any full episodes of this show online, are they still out there or are they lost forever like so many other shows from the time?
Look up "Manuel “Lone Wolf” Gonzaullas".
Don't mess with TEXAS!
The song sounds familiar does anyone agree
"The Eyes of Texas Are Upon You"
I'm in Japan and used to watch this program in my childhood every week evening.

Oh man! How CORNY, could you get, back in the 1950s! Talk about "The seduction of the 'innocent'!"
Hook em horns texas fight
