agreed wholeheartedly. I've not seen a guitar solo that can make so many people cry and feel emotionally full like this. This also has the beauty of being written for reasons other than showing off or attaching the most skill. But we should just accept it all and call it beautiful and not have to compare :)
I respectful 😢 of your band and u John Charles Butler trio from Europe I m pretty much again babe I'm listening to your song's make me feel good amazing thank you again babe
this is one of my favorite songs im yet to hear, and i dont even like any music that isnt electronic, *raises glass* to you JBT, thanks for making my day :)
a lot of guitarist great guitarist musicians dont write lyrics to their songs, john butler does, though this is pure instrumental theres more behind it, loved what you said 4u2onr, so true. SO TRUE what you said!
its because its a song that changes as time passes, you will never be able to duplicate it...there must be like 3 or 5 versions of this that he's played.
This has been the most inspiring and intriguing band I have ever heard for the longest time and has been for years and I dream to be as good and deep and involved in my music as John Butler trio and I Hope that they read this so that they know they are "Awesome," the guitar player touches all my sound emotions and relates to my style in a way noncomparable with any other musicians.
When people talk about great guitar solos they usually mention Pierre Bensusan or Tommy Emanuel, both amazing acoustic guitarists. But I feel that those solos that are hailed as "the greatest" are so complex that they loose a melody and rhythm. I think that this solo is complex enough to be impressive, while not sacrificing melody and rhythm. This is why this is the greatest musical solo in my book. It would be a challenge to find a song that means more to more people than this right here.
I love this artist manages to make me dream listening to him play. If you close your eyes and listen to it, it sends you to another dimension... After if you make a cane of grass (ganja) goodbye! 🤣🤣
ive seen people play jimmy page solos and couldnt tell a difference. ive seen kids play steve vai songs perfectly. ive seen solos that can be always covered. try finding someone who can comfortably cover this song with the same emotion and technique. this guys could very well be the greatest guitarist in the world.
This isn't just a 'song', this is a masterpiece! No actual melody but still it's catchy :P And man how this one kills your fingertips when hammering:D Btw, is his guitar in DADGAD?
that was the best version i ever heard...i love this guy...i got to shake his hand at lollapalooza...what a privledge

actually a friend of mine did, in front of a crowd of a few hundred. But he improvised a bit on the max sessions one. It was magnificent.

Since its different all the time.
That means that He keeps a certain main tone everytime, yet improvises the other parts.
By the looks on his face, I swear he is improvising most of it but keeping a familiar tune.
VENHA PARA O BRAZIL JOHN!!!
You followed Niki's link here too? ;p
i wanna see him play on a fretless guitar
