For the consumer it's great if you play COD, for business its not. However you spin it.
Xbox is banking everything on COD to boost new subs.
To make the revenue back on the ABK deal they will have to rasie the price of Gamepass to accommodate COD.
Gamers who mainly play just COD will buy it, they wont sub to Gamepass especially if lets say they rasie the prices to 20 or 25 dollars a month.
For gamers like myself who sub to Gampass who don't play the game, what then?
Am I going to have pay more than what Im already paying now for a monthly subscription to play day one exclusives, just because COD has been added.
Xbox is going to have to be very careful how they implement this or they will lose a lot of cuurent subs.
They made their money back two days after the acquisition. That's a reported fact, COD warzone mobile battle passes and skins will make up for Xbox lost sales. Xbox is 8% of COD market so it's not such a big loss. With all the AAA 1st party games coming day and date from this week to next 30 months you'll be gaming like a King. And if the service goes up a few dollars it's still the best value in gaming hands down. And the Activision Blizzard back catalogue also to be implemented. What a time to be a gamer but especially a Xbox gamer. Don't forget Remakestation put up PS+ top tier 40$ for no extra gain! Nothing! 0! Day and date blockbusters and variety and depth of Gamepass is top tier value
