Now, as he took intel, his mission was not to surprise the inge, it's not a hard read for me, because the scout did not took the best path to get back to his base : the other way is shorter and WAY more secure. Also, the scout already gone by the other way, so he should know it's more sure that the "unknown" way, where he can't tell if there is a sentry or not. The other way being far more optimized for him, so I would have bet on the other way (and lose). So, to me, it's just timing + good bunch of luck. One exception being if the scout already tried to steal the intell using this specific path. If he did, so his behavior could be anticipated and in this case it's a hard read. Against noobs, it's may be hard to "hard read" because their behavior is random and, sometimes, illogical.

I remember my first taunt kill was on accident with that exact taunt. I thought it would be finny to break a banjo over a hoovy's head. When he died I was shocked and felt bad.
In the start I thought "Yeah every Engy has gotten at least one around that corner" But then comes the rain-man spatial awareness and game sense knowing he would go that way with the intel, timing it exactly just by the audio cue when he picked it up... chef's kiss sir.
Just gotta point out how well the scene fit in the beginning, of how the engineer taunted with the frontier justice just before the bonked scout came through and said "ya can't hit what ain't there" it was pretty perfect there.
Well, not only was it the greatest taunt kill, when it said "THE INTELLIGENCE HAS BEEN DROPPED" it was kind of true for the scout as he now has less iq than before
