I can't imagine the overwhelming weight on their subconscious just constantly thinking about how things could've turned out differently. How miserable.

Honestly smth I feel like no one talks abt is the terrible influence Nicole has on most of the characters. Like in almost every character’s problem in the story Nicole might not have started it but she’s always somewhat involved and shows no empathy for anything because every terrible thing she does is intentional. The story makes that a clear in the beginning by highlighting a moment in time before she became a terrible person and she was blamed for a circumstance that had absolutely nothing to do with her, her dad’s death. While the story shows it off as some funny thing but it’s the underlying tone that despite all the bad things that ppl have blamed her for she still is a terrible person in and out and shows no remorse for it

The detail of the scene with older jecka has me on a chokehold. THE BEAT BUILDING UP AS THE CAMERA IS SLOWLY SHAKING? NOT TO MENTION, AT THE BEGINNING JECKA LOOKS AT THE RIGHT AND IN THE ENDING NICOLE ALSO LOOKS AT THE RIGHT.
Jecka in the beginning looks at the left, but in our perspective it looks like it's from the right, and technically its the same case for nicole at the last scene @@sodamhmm..
the expansion of the suicide ending was the only good thing that came out from flip side, getting that ending first and expecting the rest of the game to be equally interesting was like being hit with a frying pan on the head
I don’t know if this was intentional or not, but I like the detail of the lines of the flowers surrounding Nicole’s picture in the opening shot moving slightly with each frame while Nicole’s picture itself is perfectly still. Additionally I like that Jecka’s chest is animated, rising and falling steadily while Nicole’s isn’t. It’s a cool and subtle way of emphasizing her death by surrounding her with a fluid environment while Nicole herself is lifeless and unmoving.
I appreciate the lil details u make, the mark left on the neck for example .! ALSO instanly i knew u would add the im sorry message from jecka, love your work!! edit: after flipside this hits harder
