I live here in the US I am telling you. There have never been a American dream for basic Black people. Only for other non melanted people. We have yet to try achieve the dreams and goals. Only a few chosen but yet they must sell their souls to get so-called American dream. So being born and raised here.

I agree with the professor, I know things not easy in Africa, if African wanna just get some quick money but never want to live in the U.S for good, it’s their choice but I’ll say the times we are living in now, even going to America for a year might destroy the hopes and dreams they was hoping to get out of America as she is about to go in some dangerous times. I’m Nigerian and I live in America, it’s so rough here but I totally understand my brothers and sisters wanting to make some money to live better in Africa at the same time.
Facts . I Agree Super Crushing Inflation and Low Wages Especially In The Southern States like Florida Leave People in a Perpetual State of Poverty. But If You Have Better Options It's Better to Stay Clear of America I'm Moving To Washington State The Wages are a Little Better There

Only the strong survive is definitely a capitalism saying. They appear to be doing well because the world needs to see it that way. They are all living on borrowed money, and borrowed time. Having a house means nothing if the government can take it if you don't pay taxes or the bank can take it if you miss 3 payments. Blacks in America have things but they don't own things. There are always outliers in any group but the group as a whole should benefit. Our ancestors knew this which is why they weren't in a capitalistic society, everyone had enough according to their needs, not wants. The white man brought capitalism and the world slowly turned upside down. Now capitalism is no longer working because by definition, it has to move to higher profits at all times. Those black people who had the appearance of making it will soon fall to the lower class status. There will be black puppets who appear wealthy until they upset the Jews who control the entertainment industry, pharmaceutical industry, education industry and damn near any other industry. Black people in America will never rise up unless they stop being individuals and start working as a group. Even then, they still have to fight capitalism, racism, sexism and classism.

@@tommygunnz8454 we moved to Africa about 2 months ago. We will start investing in agriculture and start several businesses here. I wish you all could join us. Africa is definitely NOT what they say in the media. It's the future of the world.

Many of them don't want to be wealthy. They just want to live comfortably. You can live comfortably without being wealthy. Many of them have an education so they can navigate in America. Everyone has a dream and have a right to that dream.

I get where you come from my brother...and your premise is basically correct...but unfortunately tens of thousands of Africans come to America...and now more than ever...seeking pipedreams...in my town alone...over 35K Nigerians live here...over 10k Ghanaians/Senegalese/Liberians...and many other mostly West African countries... some of them hit on hard times and end up going home...most Nigerians go to school here and end up going home to take up good professional jobs... doctors/nurses/accountants/engineers etc...lots of construction jobs...they do encounter lots of rac ism...especially from police...but they learn to deal with it...rhey are very sophisticated...🙏👊💪👀

The term of the American Dream was coined during the Great Depression era. It's not real. It's inanimate, a concept. American finance and wealth is built from lines of credit and debt. Homeownership and education is costly debts with high interest rates. You must earn hundreds of thousands of dollars yearly to pay off generational debt arrangements. The institution of Slavery was the foundation of this capitalism. We are always at the bottom by design. Social mobility is only afforded by the few.

Everything is a rat race. And my advise to anyone moving abroad, please do not sell your land, house, or what not to move because nothing set in stone. The job market is very competitive, rent is very expensive, food too....

Better have a realistic goal if you come to America. Def get educated in a high paying skilled job that’s in demand in the State you plan to reside. It’s not cheap to live here. Jobs pay low and are scarce despite the job openings. Plus if you’re black you will be discriminated for many positions unless it’s a in demand position they desperately need to fill. Cost of living is just out of control and food cost is the worse next to rent.

The discussion of this American dream to me has lot meaning because it is being discussed against black Africans who come to America and African Americans. What about the other people like Chinese, Indians, Pakitanis, those from Afganistand, and South America? Why are they not being discussed yet they also come to the US because of the American dream. I love that you’re trying to encourage Africans to stay at home. Pls do your research well and poll people of people that migrated to America versus other parts of America. Other European countries you’re referencing are racists countries you have no right to fight back, you can fight back in the US. If you have American education, you can travel to work any part of the world, the American citizen you obtained will help you to survive. Matter of fact, you will be top of the chain of living. America is whatever you make it. America gives you chance that you won’t have in Africa, it’s up to you to work hard. You can leave to use whatever you’ve obtained anywhere in the world. @michaelayen9973 lt's strange how you state that 'America gives you chance that you won't have in Africa' - but there are Africans in their own countries making it and there are other groups who go to live in African countries who make it also. I think a lot of people are beginning to see through this false narrative that Africans need to leave Africa in order to make it. Remember - Africa is the richest continent - that's how the west became so prosperous through the pillaging of African resources!
