i bought one in japan early in the year for less than half US price.. Pitches amazing!! It's an incredible reel Steez again but US price is nuts. I added 2 bearings for bushings in handle.
you know that is one reel that really didnt peak my interest.. Maybe its the app not working here supposedly or the size of it.. Maybe ill snag one later down the road..
Marketing on this reel out of Japan was pretty confusing but I throw down to 1/4oz Texas rigs on mine with no issues. It’s a little more fickle than the A in that range but gets better distance.
@@skeeterboy77 1/4 oz tungsten, a 3/0 ewg and a small plastic (sk scounbug) I’d have to throw it all on the scale but probably in the 3/8 - 7/16 total weight
Its almost double the price you can get it for in japan. Its all markup. My buddies wife is japanese and he lives over there now. Its ridiculous the markup on these reels and baits. This reel-You can get it for about $300 (i paid $280 for one) if you know how to read japanese, have a friend in japan, or buy from a japanese site. All the rest is markup and it only costs about $20 to ship it here and go through customs per reel. Its insane.
all reels sold in the US have a warranty so thats where a lot of the markup comes from as well.. Also pricing can vary with the exchange rate.. I own over 60+ "JDM" reels as Ive been buying from japan for 25 years.. I dont know when is the last time I bought a reel domestically as you can just get them cheaper over seas.
It's more like shame on Tackle Warehouse... Get the JDM steez a ii it's like 300 bucks. I've never looked back to Tackle Warehouse once I found what a total rip off they are.
You do realize TW doesnt set the price right? LOL thats the daiwa US PRICING.. Of course its cheaper to buy DIRECT from japan and cutting out the US retailers, but you also dont get any support buying direct..
Ok, I'm looking for something to pair with an Orochi Diablo Spec R for a mid power junk fishing combo. I have it narrowed down to the Zillion G, Bantam MGL A and Lew's Hypermag.
Hopefully Digitaka gets restocked soon. The markup for US market is ridiculous.
lol yea the US markup is stupid..

Yea I got this one for a steal so Ill be adding some goodies to it like always.. Lol
Have the 7.1 for moving baits - chatters, shallow cranks, spinnerbaits etc. absolute machine of a reel
oh they are incredible.. Thats why I have a bunch of the Steez A variants..
I feel the same my friend I want to go ballistic onestly for that price no bearings thanks love your videos 😊
Steez A HLC 36mm spool x Steez A II 34mm spool . Daiwa just did not named the HLC for the US market.
Trey! Get you an IMZ there sickkkkk! Got mine from Japan a month ago and I’m in LOVE! Love to see what you think?

I agree for that price the reel should have all the perks ++ and golden steez cover😂

1/4oz TOTAL weight between hook, bait and weight or 1/4 tung weight?

If you end up wanting to get more, regularly showing up around 300 bucks on Amazon Japan. definitely agree the 650 msrp stateside is outrageous

You're right, it crazy. I will stick to my Tatulas SV, Wins,Zillion, Steez A's I purchased for $250 on sale at Dicks😁
All solid reels
Yup I got the JDM for like 380ish, US release is $650 😂😂😂
3:58 that’s absurd. A $200 lews tournament pro comes with 2 bearings per knob.
They should also come with grease. 😂
lol right! I just dropped in grease on this one..

Nothing lighter than 5/8oz? Are you kidding me. I cast real 1/4oz with it no problem.
How much would the jdm steez A2 go for it?
Why didn’t you buy the new daiwa I pay $585 for a 3000 xg Stella
Which new Daiwa?
Because I can’t stand spinning reels and haven’t owned one in over 15 years..😂🤷♀️
And I didn’t pay 650$ for this reel..😉
What is your opinion on the Zillion SV TW G?
Love the zillion as I’ve got the JP one for football jigs..

@@xDx0xUxGx Zillion or the Bantam.. Skip the Lews for sure..
you can get 2 JDM reels for the cost of 1 in the U.S. lol
You don’t say.. lol I have 65 JDM reels..
