Some very nice additions to the game collection including a system I never thought I would own! Filmed on my phone so the audios a bit low quality but you get the idea!
Hi mate, great price on the game and watch. I've managed to aquire two of the g&w that i played/owned as a kid - mario bros and donkey kong jr. Wouldn't mind a couple more into the collection. Never played a vectrex, seems popular among the retro gaming scene. Enjoy 👍🍺
3:30 That's the same G&W my bro and I played on car trips. I still have it to this day. I wish I still had the blue Super Mario Bros one. I think that got lost at my grandmother's house.
Absolute classics! Happy times sat in the back of the car with nothing to worry about other than running out of batteries! Mario Bros is the most nostalgic Game and Watch to me but you can't go wrong with any of them!
@@Segasocks I really enjoy the simplicity of the games. I got the newer Zelda Game & Watch that was released a few years ago. There's a hack that allows you to install the MAME recreations of the games. I haven't put the effort into the mod yet, but having a bunch in the common G&W form factor with a backlit color screen should be neat. Have you seen the mod? It even has the sunlit color G&W games released later in the lifespan of the series.
Played the vectrex for the first time a couple of years ago on holiday in ramsgate. Immediately fell in love with it great piece of hardware. Awesome pick up mate. Got a fair few cave shooters on Saturn Xbox and switch so many great games.
I was quite taken by the Vectrex years ago at a Retro Computer Museum meetup but I never thought I would end up owning one! You can't beat Cave games in my opinion when it comes to bullet hell and high score chasing!
Vectrex in the box here in the USA are about double what you paid. I saw one last year or the year before at a flea market where the guy wanted $900. I think it came with a bunch of boxed titles. He did not want to budge on pricing nor break up the bundle.
@@Segasocks The Vectrex is well worth having. There's no way the experience can be replicated via emulation. Maybe if CRT emulation gets way better in VR it could work, but you're still wearing a helmet to get a fraction of the experience.
Bargain for that game & watch in that condition! I always liked Cement Factory, cool game, a mate of mine had that one bitd. That Vectrex looks in great condition mate! One of the few systems I've never owned, could never justify the price compared to how much play time it would get, only ever played them at expos and while they are great fun for a quick blast I've never felt like buying one. Good price though that mate!
I was blown away when I seen the condition of the Game and Watch as it literally looked like it had only been played for 5 minutes! I'm really loving having the Vectrex currently but we'll see how long it lasts although it's certainly a novelty item! My current obsession levels with it are quite high though as I've already had the back off adjusting the geometry!

Cheers mate, I'm over the moon with the Vectrex and the Game and Watch. I would like to get the Donkey Kong one eventually as its an absolute classic!

It was definitely a good deal but I've gone a bit overboard since! 😂😂😂

Some nice pickups there dude, love the game and watch 👍
I couldn't believe my luck with that Game and Watch really considering the condition!
Lovely pickups! 😎👍
Cheers Mark!
Good stuff man! ..got under the odds all-around. Ugh I hate taxes and postage costs these days.
Occasionally I get lucky but I certainly got burnt on Muchi Muchi Pork and Pink Sweets!
@@Segasocks must be tempting to get a JP Xbox now and the rest of the Xbox shmups 😁
Ended up being a nice deal on that Vectrex bundle mate 👍
I said to myself I would be more than happy with a working system and games all boxed and complete for that price so I'm glad I took the gamble now!
Very nice matey.. crazy Vectrex prices now.. think my loose prestine one cost me £50-60 back when I was collecting 2009-2012 lol
The glory days of collecting for sure matey! Brucie Bonus's as far as the eye could see! We were literally swimming in it back then!
