I been watching the markets for over 6 months and I haven't really taken any major trades. Think about it, what moves the market? DOW, NASDAQ, SPY, and CRUDE OIL, if those 4 are down then you can imagine your trades are going to be choppy. I've read a lot of the comments here and I believe the key to success is being patient and waiting for the right moment. If you constantly are searching for that one trade and are constantly taking in multiple trade ideas then you will never have a consistent plan like the Gentleman said in the video.

I'm a beginner trader. and I just started trading this december. got my 5,653 dollars account and earned a profit of 3,221 dollars in just 2 weeks as a beginner. yup that's 59% increased in my capital with pure luck i guess. having a poor risk management didn't even applied stop loss even once and i get emotional a lot when my floating trades really went up. i'm gonna try my best to apply risk management starting tomorrow. thanks for this video appreciated it a lot.

The reason I actually pay attention to this channel, is because of the constant tough love. Understanding the reality of trading and proper management of expectations, are principles that not only apply to trading. Nothing ever worth doing is easy.
Believe it or not I've worked on a strategy tirelessly, worked day, night to the point where I destroyed my sleeping pattern. Anyways I was able to come up with a scalping strategy on the 15m timeframe with a 70.7% win rate with a >20 - 40 pip profit per trade on average ( I put a cap on the ATR to 30 pip, anything higher I'm not trading. ) This was all done on USD/JPY with 75 wins 31 loses ( 106 trades ). I don't really know where to go from there, I'm a very confident in trading USDJPY but I'm scared this won't be applicable to other pairs. I tried EUR/USD and so far I'm at 40 trades with only a 60% win rate 24 wins 16 loses. Where do I go from here? Do I change my strategy for each pair? Do I only stick with USDJPY? Please help a fellow trader out.
IMO , you can stick with USDJPY on live and test other pairs in your FreeTime. Because if you're scared to trade your strategy on other pairs then don't trade in other pairs for now. Backtesting is supposed to build confidence, just trade what you've backtested for now

Sammy Bammy Studios It’s a 1:1. I took into consideration that i’m scalping strictly on the 15 minute time frame and I noticed when I was at a 1:1.5 it would come close to my target and end up red way too many times.

if you risking 1% the amount in your account divide by 100. for example your account is 1000÷100=10 so one trade you should risk 10 dollers then figure it which lotsize it can be. so use 0.03
@@uknasa007 for posiotion sized please go to Google apps store search myfxbook its a free app. You can find a position calculator for your position sized. May the markets be with you.
Can you create a spreadsheet detailing recommend lot sizes for different pairs as well as different account sizes keeping in mind the 2% risk and average spreads most brokers have ? .. that is something ive been trying to figure out for months .. sure the strategy is there risk management and discipline but finding opportunities on different pairs (with the different spreads) and knowing what a good lot size would be can benifit amazingly
First, nice channel. Steven great how you evolved. The 2nd. Point of this video is not about 1% or 2% or 4% or 10%, its all about risk of ruin. Take the risk of ruin calculator and risk what with your strategy gives you 0% of ruin. Then be disciplined.

Believe it or not I've worked on a strategy tirelessly, worked day, night to the point where I destroyed my sleeping pattern. Anyways I was able to come up with a scalping strategy on the 15m timeframe with a 70.7% win rate with a >20 - 40 pip profit per trade on average ( I put a cap on the ATR to 30 pip, anything higher I'm not trading. ) This was all done on USD/JPY with 75 wins 31 loses ( 106 trades ). I don't really know where to go from there, I'm a very confident in trading USDJPY but I'm scared this won't be applicable to other pairs. I tried EUR/USD and so far I'm at 40 trades with only a 60% win rate 24 wins 16 loses. Where do I go from here? Do I change my strategy for each pair? Do I only stick with USDJPY? Please help a fellow trader out.
IMO , you can stick with USDJPY on live and test other pairs in your FreeTime. Because if you're scared to trade your strategy on other pairs then don't trade in other pairs for now. Backtesting is supposed to build confidence, just trade what you've backtested for now
Sammy Bammy Studios i’ll 100% do that starting tomorrow. I’ve also just finished grinding out back test EUR/USD for back testing and got 67W 37L ( 64.4% win rate ). Would that be okay to start with also?

Sammy Bammy Studios It’s a 1:1. I took into consideration that i’m scalping strictly on the 15 minute time frame and I noticed when I was at a 1:1.5 it would come close to my target and end up red way too many times.

How can one calculate for risk management percentage on each trading acct?

if you risking 1% the amount in your account divide by 100. for example your account is 1000÷100=10 so one trade you should risk 10 dollers then figure it which lotsize it can be. so use 0.03

Can you create a spreadsheet detailing recommend lot sizes for different pairs as well as different account sizes keeping in mind the 2% risk and average spreads most brokers have ? .. that is something ive been trying to figure out for months .. sure the strategy is there risk management and discipline but finding opportunities on different pairs (with the different spreads) and knowing what a good lot size would be can benifit amazingly

The 2nd. Point of this video is not about 1% or 2% or 4% or 10%, its all about risk of ruin. Take the risk of ruin calculator and risk what with your strategy gives you 0% of ruin. Then be disciplined.

So bcz it takes time for my trade to execute a profit or hit sl i risk 4 % of my account. My risk to reward ration is more than 1:2 . So please tell me can i risk 4%
