The ladder and side door is your biosecurity door for hauling pigs. I haul hogs and most all the barns we go to we're not allowed in. Only allowed in our trailer so that's how you get in and out
@@calebmanuel17 Different companies have different policies. Some may let you in the barn to get into your trailer, most won't due to biosecurity. We don't pull any trailers without bio doors for that reason. Also there are hog operations that do not allow drivers out of their trucks while at a barn. Those locations have their own staff that handles the load and unload procedures so what style of rear door wouldn't matter at that point.
Some barns you can't go in the barn to get on trailer or they wont let you(because of biosecurity reasons)...so you gotta use that side door and ladder...awesome vids Milk Man
BTW, this is an old video ya'll. Im just finally getting around to getting them up. I am no longer hauling the cattle pot. 100% reefer. Thank everyone for watching! :)
As i come of farming stock regarding both my parents. This is of considerable interest to me. You are not hard on the animals, which is something i like to see. Pity there were not more like you. All the best in your new career.
At some of the hog barns I go to they won't let you inside so you have to climb into the trailer though the ladder and stay in the trailer while they load you
Do you still have the trailer? Do you have any plans on running both reefer and cattle pot? Could you run seasonal or isn’t that an option? Sucks that you upgraded and didn’t really get to enjoy it before switching gears.
I was actually just renting the trailer from the guy that dispatched me. I probably won’t be going back to hauling the cattle pot again. Unless I end up buying my own trailer and finding direct work.
HELLO DR. WE BEN TRUCKING FOR A LITTLE OVER 40 plus years . I REALLY WANT TO GET INTO CATTLE HAULING WITH MY OWN TRUCK AND TRAILER. THEE ONLY SITUATION THAT I HAVE I DON’Nt HAVE ANY CATTLE HAULING EXPERIENCE AT ALL . BUT WHEN I YOUNGER ABOUT 30 years ago when I was thinking about this I had talk to one company that told me since I pulled a tanker for several years I had the right movement of the freight . THEE ONLY THING I WOULD HAVE TO TEACH YOU HOW THE LOAD AND WHERE GO WHERE IN EACH COMPARTMENT AND SOME COW SENCE AND TO READ YOUR COWS FROM GETTING HURT AND ALL. I NEDD SOME RECOMMENDATIONS ON WHO I CAN GO TO TO GET THAT EXPERIENCE FROM. THANKS !!!
They both have there things I guess. If I direct and had all of my own contacts, I would be hooked up to the cattle pot. But with that being said, I still really enjoy pulling the reefer around :)
I have some pictures on my instagram of the trailer all lit up. Ill post a pic on my youtube here. I also have a clip in the next video ill be putting up that you can kind of see how lit it is.
So was it the income or the job that made u change because that's a real good modern trailer u invested in there. You took it serious with the investment
So I want to ask you two questions first one is are you going to stick with livestock or going to move over to reefer ? And number two is would you mind if I was to like and share you on my page and channle. I'm Doug and run and own Rocky Mountain bull hauler but I support all livestock haulers. So get back to me so. Would like to help you out and get you some good guys that are always willing to help you out when you are having questions on any livestock, but safe trips great videos keep up the good work on them, please be safe. Talk soon..
Hey Doug! Just want to say, I love watching your videos! It would be an honor to be shared on your page and channel 👍🏻😁 Maybe we could talk over email about the first question a little more? Really good video! Very helpful.
It's called a Cleat ( on the end of the trailer to tie the rope up and down). ✅
same as a boat
I don’t know if you ever got to haul anything on this trailer but you will like the crank from nose. But glad you’re doing what you like keep it up.
The few times I used the crank to put the floor up, it was amazing! You’re def right about that
Thanks for the tour of your new trailer!
Hell yeah man great video brother. Can’t wait to see what the next video brings us!!
Really appreciate it, brother!
Quality content man dig it!
Really appreciate it!
Climb up onto the top of that trailer . There may be 2 escape hatches .
Great job man you should make a video over your truck
Love the new trailer!!❤❤
It was a really nice trailer!
At some of the hog barns I go to they won't let you inside so you have to climb into the trailer though the ladder and stay in the trailer while they load you
Because they don’t want you to see the despicable and nightmarish conditions they’re living in
Nice glad you went back 👍
Pretty interesting trailer, that’s for the walk through I learned a lot watching it
In your opinion, which do/did you like hauling more? Livestock or reefer?
Keep up the good work
Nice trailer
Reefer or bull hauler , which one
Reefer. Just finally got around to editing and uploading

Rope anchor?
Milk man I hope you have learn your trailer more, that is the trailer I like to hauler cattle in, F moving the floor
It's a littlebit different from italian one, but nice
Interesting. Do you guys scale at the pickup site? How does that work? Do you have to water the animals? How far does a typical cattle load go?
Sometimes we scale in close by. Other times they just weigh the cattle at the kill plants or feed lots.
What happen with pulling refer

Is the third axle for different state requirements?
It’s just used so we could haul more weight in general. I’m not actually sure What the rating was when it was dropped tho
Do you still own this pot or did you sell it when you went back to reefer?
I was just renting it from the guy that dispatched me.
