I have the same car and „tuned it“ with bigger wheels and a electric Webasto Sunroof.
Loving it and yes it is even spacier compared to some bigger cars that I owned before😂
That's an epic little car with plenty of poke for fun on B roads
What was the mod list?
Exhaust
Intake
Larger throttle body?
2zz injectors?
Custom remap
Cheers!
Keep the vids going buddy, wouldn’t mind seeing you view on mopeds etc, if you can get on a aprilia rs50, I would love to see your vid on it, cheers matt,
i saw a nice one of these on facebook marketplace considering it
They aren’t getting cheap. Not sure where that idea came from? Some looked after low mileage examples are close to £9K, not far of the original price brand new! The whole market is shit at the moment, nothing is cheap unless it’s a mess. They are great cars, I’m on my second one now and there’s nothing wrong with the 1l option. I would suggest going for the IQ2(1l model) or IQ3(1.33l model) as the extras are nice to have.
I’ve just bought my 4th today , 36k on the clock and got it for £4900 , just 2.5 with my trade in
I want to buy one and I want to make it more powerful can I do the same mods with a automatic transmission?
Love it mate
Hey Jamie love the video. I was wondering if you could give me a full list of the modifications by any chance as i have an iq and I'm wanting to modify it but I just don't know where to start. Cheers!
dont think he really knows what modifications were used.
What size tyres and wheels are they?
curious about all these bolt on parts ....
I'm on my second iq now as a second car, 1.3 litre not much different to insure and 98bhp from factory, the 1 litre engine is plagued by annoying clutch vibration at 2000rpm, replacing the clutch is an expensive job with Toyota qoutinf upwards of £1200 and the vibration just comes back after few thousand miles. The 1.3 however is significantly better, much smoother drive and sits comfortably at motorway speeds + . The iq3 I purchased comes with factory nav, Bluetooth, auto lights, auto wipers, keyless entry and start and I'm looking at getting another similar to hopefully supercharge. They've only been going up in price for low mileage examples. £12k odd back in 2011 new. Buying a low mileage clean example is gonna be £7k +. Great cars but expensive to maintain unless you know a good mechanic
Im gutted i didnt go forone around 2019 pre pandemic when they were much better prices. £5-7k just seems too low value now
@@NewsFlashJustIn I feel like they will keep going up in value, absolute cracking piece of engineering
I own one and this is the First time I've seen anyone say it's expensive to maintain 🧐
Thats Sweet Man.Im.searching For One to Buy in America
It would also be nice to know who actually did the custom map as there are few people that can tune these ECUs properly.
Same goes for the 1nr-fe 1.33
I have a pearl iq3 and the first thing I did was added the official wind deflectors (fitted on doors). They fit the car so well in my opinion to the point where without, something just feels wrong. I’d definitely recommend installing them.
Could you link pls?
@@s1914 apologies, it seems like there aren't much online. I ordered the deflectors on eBay from a Toyota dealer several years back.
Best bet would be to drive to a Toyota dealer and see if you could order them from there.
I'd also recommend getting the official ones - suits the car better, won't get chances of leaking such as the aftermarket ones and have the iq logo on them which is a nice touch.
@@willtato8778 ok, thank you for your reply! 👍
Anyone got a link for the double din facia?
noice to have manual ,
i just got mine 😂 second car
Will 15 inch wheels with 205/55 tyres fit the 2009 IQ 1L?
195/55 R16 ET38 on my car ( a 1.3L has rear discbrakes)
There is also a 1.3 model aswel!!!
osaka newport do sick tunes and widebody of the iq
148,800 miles right now on mine!
Lots of questions asked, none of them answered! 😂
Buy iq 1.4 diesel come stock 90hp , goes to 110 hp with simple repro save loads of money
Are these diesel too?😮
The worst thing about these cars is that useless dome light. Its a 3.3v led chip and it makes dam near no light. I spliced in a 12v led module into the 12v constant power to actually make the inside usable
You not going to get 60 mpg .. i have the same car
And trust me … more like 45 mpg;) anyway amazing little big car
Im getting over 50 mpg from mine.
They aren’t cheap. And I don’t know why DMV won’t allow it to be used for driving test
