The songs of Gilbert OSullivan have been an integrated part of my life for 25 years. I discovered him as a 15 year old in 1995 and to me, he's the finest singer/songwriter ever! Such a genuine, heartfelt tribute song written and sung by the immensely talented Kyle Vincent.
I'm a long-time Gilbert O'Sullivan fan (going back to the early 1970s) and I just discovered this song. It is excellent! I like all the little nods to the songs of O'Sullivan in the lyrics and in the video.

My life changed for the better that day in June when I discovered Gilbert OSullivan. He's still my All Time favourite artist and this heartfelt tribute makes me shed happy tears!

Simply blown away at the wonder that is this tune and video...pure pop perfection centered on two masters of the genre, both of whom have given the world some incredibly melodic and beautiful music. I had the original MAM 45s for both “Clair” and “Alone Again (Naturally)”, which is still the saddest song I know. And “Get Down” is one of my favorite pop songs ever. Now Kyle has put out a ton of great stuff that sadly the masses may not be aware of, but if you appreciate honest, catchy and well-written pop songs then you know what you’re always going to get from Kyle.
Kyle Vincent's talent and creativity knows no bounds. This video will touch anyone who ever looked up to a mentor and was deeply effected by their work. I LOVE this - especially the last "snaps" and the last few seconds at the end! Awesome in every way!!!

I love how the record turns, how the “happiness meter” ticks up, and how the birds appear on the tree while the music notes line up to your whistling. Personally, I hear a collage of melody snippets reminding me of say, Taking A Chance On Love and Can't Get Enough Of You, those music hall shuffles Gilbert OSullivan was a master in creating. I get a lot of heat from certain individuals in UA-cam comments saying I write TOO MANY comments! Well, It's what I DO and I can't promise I will slow down my pace in the future! Kyle Vincent is great and as a massive Gilbert OSullivan fan, A Gilbert OSullivan Song brings a lot of joy to me!
