Do not throw away your spoilt MOSFETs until you watch this

Do you have spoilt TO-220 packaged transistors lying around? Do not throw them away! In this video, I'm going to show you how you can repurpose a damaged TO-220 packaged transistors or MOSFETs and
convert a surface-mount transistor to a TO-220 packaged one.
Disclamer: It may not work for all TO-220 packaged transistors/chips. It depends on how strong or how tough the molded package is. Cheapo ones may be easier to break.
