I just bought one. I had a Sony A6400. I love the Sony. But now, this camera is something more. I am still getting used too. But I am already loving it. The upgrade is HUUUUUGE. But... there are some things. 1. I find the menu system very extense, and it's not easy to learn and configure. Also, it takes a while to adjust the camera so it can be ready to shot. Some say sony is hard, but I think lumix is harder. 2. The buttons - Is so easy to touch by accident and change settings.
I think once you learn Lumix you will see that they are pretty intuitive. However, regarding your second question. Yes, the back knob has too much play in it. This was fed back to the Lumix team.
I am so glad that you got it. I got mine at release. I just needed a break from UA-cam for clarity and direction going forward. I am so happy with OPPO. I just heard that LG just sold all of its remaining patents to OPPO. I hope that includes something on the DAC technology. I know, wishful thinking.
Man I LOVEEEEEEE the panasonic Lumix S5!!!! And great video man, but yes this is such a nice camera! for v-log I am not experienced with it to get the best out of it.
Jermaine, we are Panasonic brothers for sure. Thank you and yes V-Log has a ton of potential. You have to be careful with exposure because it exposes the full dynamic range is available i.e. Noise can creep in like every other log profile.
Do you generally just shoot with the picture styles at 0 0 0 or do you adjust them? I've pulled the contrast back to -5 and the saturation to -2 but I think the footage is looking a bit boring now.
Do you have links to the footage? On those profiles I shoot at zero unless I am doing a top down shot. Please remember this is indoors only. Let me know I would love to look and do some testing of my own this weekend.

Nice to see you got a OPPO X7 Ultra. I got mine 4 days ago and couldn't be happier. It's definitely an amazing device

@@BarryJohnson I'm in bed at the moment but I'll upload some tomorrow :) I cheers
Thanks!
Due to missing PDAF Panasonic needed to drop the price at so low level.
Well said. If you are fine with manual focus it's an outstanding value.
Great video! I was this close (🤏🏿) to trading in my Sony cameras for S5IIx's... but I talked myself down lol
I get it Sir. Sony's are phenomenal.
@@BarryJohnson True, plus they finally issued that update for the A7S3... that's what saved them for me.
@@BrayGrayy Thank you Sony. I was so happy for you and the rest of the owners.
