You are going to love the Shaman especially on the Farm. I'm in construction and the Shaman is my favorite Spyderco by far. Definitely their most heavy duty/hard use knife. The ergonomics are awesome, and its the compression lock so there's your fidget factor.
So far i think it´s awesome!!

Spyderco rocks! I recently lost a screw on my REX45 Native 5 and they replaced it no questions asked. Now they hook you up with their best knife, in my opinion, the Shaman. Wow, talk about a customer-focused culture. Good job, Spyderco!

Awesome video as usual, I'm a frontie pocket. I noticed the Olight flashlight on your keychain. You are a true EDC man. Acupuncture cured my frozen shoulder. If you like the Shaman you need to try the Spydie Chef, great knife that can really slice. BTW: when Spyderco starts send you packages, you know you have made it. Keep up the awesome videos.

I carry my main knife in my front right pocket, usually a Spyderco PM2, my old Rekat Carnivore, or CRK 2006 Regular Sebenza. I also keep a little Victorinox (the one w scissors and the Phillips head) in my left front pocket for standard dad tasks. I won’t carry in the back pocket because it’s uncomfortable to sit on, and, more importantly, I live in a city that has a pretty high crime rate and not only does back pocket carry encourage pickpockets, it lets bad guys access my knife from behind before I can even react. Maybe I should move to a farm and away from all of these scumbags.

I can't wait to see this channel boom, you put out stellar quality content! I work outside quite a bit doing water safety/quality for NYS parks. Here's my usual, in no particular order:
1) Carabineer clipped to my belt loop: keys, tick key, bottle opener.
2) Front left pocket: Cellphone, Tactile Turn pen (super fidgety DO NOT PURCHASE)
3) Front right pocket: Spyderco Native 5 Salt, Victorinox Pioneer.
4) Side zipper pocket
4) Back left pocket: Notepad.
5) Back right pocket: Wallet.
I'll admit though that if I'm working around the house my knife is in a back/side pocket 👍
I love your videos! I use my Paramilitary for alot of the same uses as you. I grew up on a farm, and always had difficulty finding a good work knife. Spyderco solved that problem for me! Love your animals too!

I’m a front pocket Dude. I just bought a left handed Paramilitary 2, and I absolutely love it! It is by far the best EDC I’ve ever carried. Oh, and by the way. Butterfly knives are illegal in Canada as well. There is no length restrictions, but autos are illegal as well. Cheers!

You make us both laugh so much, your awesome brother, so creative and we feel Spyderco should send you more knives to review because your probably selling the hell out their knives online, after people see your videos they most likely go online and buy more! Back pocket for larger knives, or ones with clips (pm2 is my current back pocket daily carry).
But if I am carrying something smaller, like a peanut or opinel no6, then I keep that in the front pocket

Front right pocket or watch pocket for slip joints/ no clip. Just easy to get to In the front. Also on carpenter pants I use the thigh pocket. My phone and wallet are usually in my back pockets.

Before I was fishing in the Pacific everyday I grew up in a farming area much like where you are and used my knives much like you. Sometimes I think my rural upbringing had as much influence on the Siren design as my life on the saltwater has. The ocean isn’t the only place where a tough rust proof folder comes in handy. Keep up the good work! These are by far my favorite “knife review” videos on UA-cam!

That’s my biggest back pocket fear as well. Would love to free up the front pocket but I love my knife, don’t want to lose it!
Yep, I've lost and retrieved a few knives that got hung up on tree branches, thick brush while hiking, had a few get hung up on scissor lifts/boom lifts while working. Basically I've had my knife clip grab so many things that I moved it to the front pocket to get a little better protection from that happening.
I can never get a comfortable fit in the back pocket, if I sit down. Plus, I don't want all that stress on the pocket of my jeans (pants, shorts). So it's front pocket for me. My phone often rides in the opposite pocket or I leave it out.
cytherians Oddly, I carry my phone in my back pocket now. I also have reading glasses in my EDC. Still not sure what’s best. LOL.

I went to an acupuncture specialist here in Michigan. It worked wonders for me and my arm

And the fact that they sent you a “Bali-Yo-Pen” and a Shaman means that they didn’t just grab some random stuff to send to you. They actually watched your videos and not only sent you something else to fidget with in the pen, but they sent you what is basically their default “hard use” knife because of the work around the farm you do. I think you’ll like it even more than the Para 3. Like I said, what a cool video. Thanks.

Back pockets a great idea never thought of they was just always more comfortable too carry in the front
I always carry my pocket knife in my front right pocket and phone in my back pocket. And with the pocket clip orientated keeping the tip of the knife pointed up. In my right front pocket it prevents the knife blade from opening up when working... And when carrying like this it let's me keep my dueling knife in my prison pocket!

Para 3 in Maxamet in right front. Yojimbo 2 back left/weak side. Carry CZ P10s in appendix. Para 3 is more for fidgety edc elbow type things. Yoji 2 more fore self defense and to increase distance if the need comes to firearm deployment.

Front right pocket. When I started carrying spydercos in the early 90s I put them in the back right pocket too. But - you lose them like that is you’re not careful. Lost a few...FEW...meaning 3...THREE!!!...then switched to front right in the late 90’s and never lost another.
That’s a lovely water buffalo you got there, farmer! Affectionate too! Don’t cut her up though-she should be a broodbuffa. Fidgeting on water buffalo horns? Sounds really challenging- I doubt any will try that out on the African savanna! 😲

I used to haul horses around the US. Mostly thoroughbreds, but everything from minis to Clydesdales. Wore out a couple of multi tools. And, oh yeah, I have the EDC bug too! Oh yeah, LFMP (left front mini pocket) guy. I do security, so my pistol is on the right hand, knife, and flashlight on the left. And if you haven’t got one by now, get yourself a case for your phone that has a battery built in-you need a HD one around the farm. God bless!👍🏼

God, I love your videos. A city girl through & through, not outdoor-sy, like... at... all. Wouldn't know anything about farming, livestock, chickens, equipment, tractors or knives. Don't even fidget & am probably at least somewhere near almost old enough to be your mother. I mean, not quite, but probably close-ish. LOL Oh, & am female. That said, idk if it's your editing, style, disposition, humility or amazing personality, but... won me over from the start. I've watched every one now, & always look forward to the next, too. For many reasons I cannot go into, just... thank you for making these & for making my days that much brighter... it means more than ya' know!
That duel, every frame had me cracking up! (esp thinking about the set-up of it all... cigar, poncho, hat... what you probably had to bribe with... for someone to even participate. ha-ha) The little birdie stuck in the cab... even your 'friend' that came in for a little scratch.. OR just wanted their share of screen time!

I got a Para 3 in digital camo. I carry it in my front right side pocket. From wear I'm from, pickpockets are a common thing. So i keep all my edc in my front pockets. I also added a lanyard on mine to make quickdraws even faster. Love your channel! Your videos are super relaxing and entertaining to watch. Keep em coming! Stay safe out there.

I carry my spyderco tenacious, gerber armbar and pen in my right frount pocket. My reason being i work for a machine shop and my work vest/shirt thing has a through pocket that perfectly lines up with said pocket, and its a low key style thing

I carry a knife in both my back pocket, and front pocket. The back pocket is ALWAYS a SpyderCo Karahawk, which deploys the blade when it is pulled from the pocket, and the front pocket varies between a Microtech Ultratech, Benchmade 940, or a SpyderCo Tenacious. As well I typically carry a third knife in my other front pocket. One is none, Two is One, and Three is better.

Personally I actually carry up to 3 knives. I carry a belt sheathed multitool on my right side, usually 3 or 4 o'clock position. I always carry a victorinox in my front left pocket with my keys wallet ect, and my nicer knives I carry in my back right pocket. My back left pocket is more of a dump pouch

I keep my Esee folding knife, Pilot v7 pen, Drop flashlight, and Saddleback Front Pocket wallet in my left pocket. My house/work keys clip onto my left hand belt loop w/ Nite Ize Ahhh... S-Biner and I tuck them in my left back pocket. My iPhone 5c (you read that right, 5c) stays in my right pocket. I have a Gerber EAB pocket knife in my coin pocket when I'm at work. I keep my car key separate from my house keys in my right back pocket. Everything came naturally except for the wallet. I did not put much thought into where I would keep my items. I had a wallet in my back pocket but switched to front pocket a half a decade ago cause of back pain and minimize what I carried in it.
Well that answered my question. I’m happy to see they sent you a knife after you got the Para with the defect. That broke my heart when you noticed the chip in that blade.

Farmer E - I only have the Para 3 lightweight. Different steel then yours and with FRN handles. I love it! Just got into their knives.
My para3 is so light, i can´t even imagine they could make it lighter! I´m new, too, and loving it!

Reason for front right pocket carry is not to damage car seat upholstery due to fretting of the clip when sitting. Otherwise....when working front/back doesn't make a difference, it boils down to personnal taste and ergonomic/reflex when reaching for your tool when needed.
I carry 2 knives both front pockets when I work. Something small and sharp in my front left and something big and strong in my right pocket

Can't carry back pocket because once I thought I was about to get bit in the rear by a goose and flexed my buns so hard that it turned my straight blade into a recurve and folded the titanium handles in half.
Carry mine in front pocket and phone in back. Great vid ! Funny to. So glad to see my favorite knife company take care of my favorite UA-cam farmer friend 🙌🙌
