Great tutorial. I used stitch Witchery because it was what I had. I also chose to not top stitch the letters onto the flags. For this reason, next time, I would apply the letters after turning the flags right side out. When they were turned inside out, I found the bottom edges of the ‘A’ had gotten caught into the hems. In addition, as I turned them, a few of the letters pulled away from the material. Again, the tutorial is great. I am writing this in case anyone else chooses to do it a little differently, you can learn from my mistakes.

Does heat n bond stop fraying if you use regular fabric rather than felt?
no, because this version is a temporary fix

Not if you use Heat N Bond 'lite' but if you use the stronger stuff it does.

great tutorial what sewing machine foot did you use?
Just my regular foot. Your machine handbook should tell you which foot to use with blanket or zig zag stitch.
