Great video ... solved my problem ... THANK YOU Jonathan! Question: The old o-ring was buried in the ceramic tube and I was unable to remove it (even though I could see the edges of it), no matter how hard I tried (using jewelers screwdrivers and picks). I ultimately went ahead and installed a new o-ring in addition to the old one. The new ring also went up inside the ceramic and was barely visible, so (for better or worse) I installed a second (an additional) new o ring, which now is about half inside the ceramic tube and about half out of the tube. The steam no longer escapes and the machine has been working fine for a couple of days. I had to compress the assembly (the o-rings) ever so slightly in order to install the c-clip. I SHOULD have tested the assembly with just one new o ring ... it may well have worked fine ... but I am crossing my fingers that the (crazy?) combo of the old o-ring and two new ones ends up doing the job for months or, hopefully, years to come. Thanks again. BTW, the rings I used were as suggested by @turbotrana below (2.5mm ID 4.5mm OD and 1mm C/S food grade silicon).
My pleasure! Glad it was helpful! Yeah I'm not surprised that happened - I found it difficult to get mine out! If it eases your mind I would have done the same in your situation. Maybe not ideal but you can be sure it won't leak. I can't really imagine what issues that would cause? Good on you for giving it a crack!
i have this same problem, been using foodgrade silicone to fill that bottom area. But only a temporary fix that lasts about 6 months. Thanks for the video!
I just measured it up and you got the wrong O ring size. I am pretty sure OEM is 2.5mm ID 4.5mm OD and 1mm C/S food grade silicon. You put in the 1.5mm cross section which is a tight fit and may last forever but the 2.5mm x 1mm will slip in easier. I got a feeling that it may be designed to leak under certain conditions so OEM size might be important.
Thanks for doing that! I was going off advice I'd read online in a few places, so can't claim to know which is better. Its worked well for me so far, but if anyone's unsure this option may be a better one to try out!
Hey mate, turns out youtube cut it off, hopefully will work again soon. For now www.amazon.com.au/dp/B082SV49MH?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details
have the same problem. I noticed the machine start hissing a couple of weeks ago, but just ignored it. Multiple probes were hissing it turns out. probably too late as the electrics are now cooked and the heat control is out of whack. probably need to replace the printed circuit board controller.
Was it loud, I get a slight hiss sometimes, it goes away if you turn the steam on for a sec so I'm guessing it's something related to the steam boiler pressure. I don't see any steam leak or moisture but I hear it from somewhere... taunting me :D

You make a good point! I mainly haven't because I realised after I posted and couldn't be bothered editing again - most of the info is there that you need!

What size was the tiny o ring? Thanks for the video.
ha ha those are lock picks. i use those too for orings. ideal as they are very strong
Definitely! A good option I've found
If you put the c clip back on and it falls off, you've put it too low! The cylinder is a touch thicker higher up
Hi @jonathanhann5478 were did You buy those o-rings. I can't seem to find them. And thank You for an excelent video.
www.amazon.com.au/dp/B082SV49MH?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1
what size are you using, it is pissoble to buy 10 diffrent sizes in the link? @@jonathanhann5478
Hey mate thanks so much for the video. I am struggling to get the c clip back on the probe!? Any advice?
If you use some needle nose pliers it should do the trick. Make sure you're putting it on the right spot, some sections are thicker than others

I caught mine too late and now the corrosion and contacts look like a rust heap.
