This has to be the most block accurate lego Minecraft set yet. It’s crazy good set and it’s honestly given me a new perspective on what lego Minecraft could look like with all those open studs, it’s not as flat as tiling the purpur bricks with 1x1 tiles, but the stud grid kind of gives off a similar vibe, especially the pillar up to the crows nest.
Addendum, if I were to describe this set, I’d describe it as “meaty and fleshed out.” The end ship is complete, no open sides, and the dragon helmet is such a cute new mold as goofy as it is on the big body. The one gripe I have is that it’s lacking the usual staple tnt block
The new dragon head is amazing! I love how you can see the player's face through the mouth of the dragon! Also an idea for the Minecraft world: A player flying with an elytra in some module would look pretty great.
When I first saw it, I assumed it would replace the player's head entirely! It's so cool it can just fit over the top. And the flying player is a great idea!
I own the second dragon. The head is a similar scale to the third, however the dragon is much smaller than the first and the third. The printed 1x2 tile for the dragons eyes is reused from the second dragon.
It's hard to make work is natural, modern, medieval, city, pretty much any grounded settings that don't involve exentricism. As a fantastical material tho it's amazing.
2:34 i actually managed to fit a spring shooter on the 2014 ender dragon using a similar design with the 1x2 jumper plates, it just sticks out the front a lil bit. this way the button on the back activates both features!
@@CheeseyStudios thanks! i also attached the 1x2 plate with pinholes on the bottom to the new ender dragon’s wings so i could attach it to the old one too
I haven't been buying any Minecraft sets lately, because I don't have a lot of space, but this is one I'll definitely buy. Seeing pictures of it blew me away from how amazing it is. The end ship is nicely built but the dragon, it's the best one they've made. And I believe you can fill in the studs with tiles perfectly. And getting all those lavender pieces is going to be so easy to get in bulk for an end city moc. The price is a bit steep, but I'll get it.
Best Lego channel on UA-cam! The second version of the dragon was a great build but I just wanted the character skin! I wish Lego minecraft would do that in every single set it would get so many more people to 100% each wave!
Phew I’m glad that eyeball guy is a player skin, for a moment I was scared the game was updated to have a new boss that’s like a “Dark Link” and mimics the player’s move set and can break blocks and stuff.
That a sick idea. And don't worry if it ever happen the devs wouldn't let it break everything. They always talk about block breaking mods. And how for example the warden could have be breaking blocks. But they went with a laser that pierced through blocks without breaking them instead. They wouldn't let a mob like this loose. It would probably only break and place block around it spawn area and would guard it instead of chasing you too far.
You know, I really like this new enderdragon, it's pretty game accurate, the helmet thing is really cool, the small head is actually very accurate and the side builds are also very cool and satisfyingly built. 10/10 set!
would you ever consider adding an end island section to your custom lego minecraft build? i would love to see how you would tackle the structures! (and maybe an end dragon moc like another commenter suggested 👀👀)
Maybe one day, if the dimension ever got a significant update. As it is now, it honestly just doesn't appeal to me. I do plan on doing the dragon at some point though!
1:43 I had that set and just to let u know about it, it was super great and probably as good as this new one. The dragon had crazy articulation making it great and the end crystal had an eject mechanic. The dragon also had a blast beam bit
Ok idk if the budget went to the dragon, but why does the ship look, fan made? It is so study and the ship pole doesn't look official imo. Something about the ship looks like a moc compared to official sets which are pretty balanced between studs, empty space, and tiles imo. This ship feels squished together kind of like some mocs I have seen. Idk it is a cool set but something feels off.
I can definitely see what you're getting at. The studdy mast feels off to me as well, especially compared to the cleaner look they've been going for in other sets lately
I haven’t bought a Minecraft set in such a long time, but this one is very tempting. Even though it seems pedantic, I really wish the horns were dual-moulded in grey, so they actually stuck out without you having to look for them.
I think my main problem with the two newer Ender Dragons is that their eyes are just too big. The real dragon has a black pixel separating the edge of the head and the eye, which the very first Lego dragon had. But the other two have the eyes end right where the head ends.
Honestly, I really like this set! As someone who only gets like 1 Minecraft set a year because they take up a lot of space compared to some Ninjago sets or individual minifigures, this set definitely interests me. I’m excited to finally get an elytra in my collection & the new build for the Ender Dragon is interesting. I own several sets from the 1st wave in 2014, The First Night, The Mine, & original End set, so it was really nice to see the comparison of the 2 Ender Dragons. As good as the new one is, that wing flapping feature on the original is so good. I had so much fun playing with that when I was younger.
Don’t know if it’s just me but I love the head and how you can put it on a minifigure but it seams way to small. Maybe it’s the ears but idk it looks weird imo.
Mojang and Lego missed a function known to the dragon head, if you walk while wearing it, the mouth will open and close if you look in 3rd person. If you don’t belive me, try.
One negative about the dragon head piece that i don't see mentioned enough is the lack of a nose on it. I can't fathom why they couldn't have given it molded nostrils when they already gave it horns, and without the nostril bumps it kind of makes the dragon look like a duck.
I love how u can put the dragon head on minifigs but yhe cost is so much, the tiny head looks so goofy on the big dragon, i’d rather it not being put on the minifig head or make another head for the dragon and the head on ship stays there.
interesting… when I saw the first picture of this I thought this set would be the best if the wave by a long shot. but especially after you reviewed the mesa mineshaft I believe I might actually skip this. Definitely gonna get that dragon head piece tho!!
I am a bit mixed on this dragon. On one hand, I love its play features - it's wings are more poseable, it can actually shoot its Dragon Breath (would've been cool if the players held bottles of it too) and the head being wearable is such a nice touch But on the other... the proportions feel really weird and seeing all those anti-studs on the underside of the wings really irks me for some reason and I don't think there's an elegant yet cost effective way to fix that
Great review man! I was hoping that you could attempt to make the end island for your world. It wouldnt have to be the full island, it could just be a small portion of an end city. Im just curious to see how you attempt a game accurate dragon.
Because think about it if you were to do the end Island then it should be an actual floating island it would be cool if he made it to where there's the base and it goes up at an incline a little bit and then goes around into the bump and that's the island I would love to see how big he makes the pillars and then have a few and Islands out in the distance and then put the ship that he just got in there somewhere

The gems always seemed to be genuinely valuable, same with the chrome coins they used to make. 1x1 rounds don't seem to hold that same worth, but it is nice to have the consistency with the ore blocks
I love everything about the new dragon head mold except for one thing- the nostrils. Where are the nostrils? It looks like a weird duck without the nostrils protruding from the top jaw. I don’t know how the part designer missed this. Great review though!
All of the new sets are making me hopeful that Lego Minecraft is here to stay as possibly one of LEGO's popular themes and not have it phased out like Bionicle or Hero Factory which were my previous favourite Lego themes.
Now we need a game accurate End ship and an end module. Can you make a game accurate dragon too? That will be exciting, with the play feature back in 2014
You should make a custom Ender Dragon, because every time lego try to make an one it just turns out slightly cursed. The first had too big of a head and weird looking limbs. The second had bulky wings and a face that was way too long, almost looking like a duck beak. The third one has practically no ears and a neck that's not only a bit long, but also a too high up on the torso.
I think this should of had a different side build and no ender dragon, like an end city dock for the ship. And maybe another enderman or shulker? some endermites too.

Can't wait for the eventual Cheesey Studios revamp within the next decade! (Or maybe a main end island build with a new dragon design?)
With the exception of the 18+ set, i dont know if lego will celebrate the 10th anniversary of the theme, but at least they gave us the best wave so far (except the wolf outpost 👀)
What bothers me the most about the new Ender Dragon head is that besides it being small, the horns are not painted and she lost her nostrils, now it looks like she has a duck beak
I feel like the new dragon head looks like a juvenile, especially cuz of the lacking gray horns It looks so small 😭 I feel as if a combo of the oldest and this dragon would be perfect though!
I just thought about something. The minecraft sets are aimed at children. And that's the main reason why we don't get block consistent set. It would make for overly complicated sets for child's. But I can't believe they hav't rought of doing decorative adult sets. 16 by 16 2 by 2 plate size. To Mach a chunck or block size. And they would be diorama, stud less on all sides. And block consistent. Make so much sense I would love to see tjoses.
For me this set is missing something but I dont know what, like the structure is only the ship for that price. I dont think its worth it, but that is my opinion
That's completely understandable! I feel most of the sets this wave are a bit too expensive. Hopefully it won't be too much longer before you can find it on sale somewhere.
This is probably the best, well, most accurate enderdragon we’ve had yet! I’ll always hold a soft spot for the 2014 one, but this one is a lot more accurate to the actual game, but I do agree the head is too small. Also, as someone who owns the second dragon. It kinda sucks, it looks pretty bad and is way too small. This one is 10x better
When i saw the se revealed I didn't know it could be worn as a helmet which disappointed me at the time, but seeing it actually can is so cool!!
Right? I totally thought it was just a head that you would have to swap out. The helmet solution is so much better!
I feel like I gotta buy the set just for that 😭😭
@@littlefirestudios5089 if you hust want the head itll probably be on bricklink once this goes up in shelves

Can we have a video of you combining the best aspects of the dragon to have the best dragon
I'll definitely be doing a custom dragon at some point!
Can''t wait for your take on the ender dragon
That'll be a fun one :)
time to make a custom ender dragon
Oh yesssss
this might be the first and only lego minecraft set I purchase
I'm glad you like it so much! It's a fun one
With the exception of the 18+ set, i dont know if lego will celebrate the 10th anniversary of the theme, but at least they gave us the best wave so far (except the wolf outpost 👀)
If it hadn't overlapped with Minecraft's 15th, I bet we would have seen more. :(
Are those new models I'm noticing in the background on the shelves 👀
You'll find out soon 👀👀👀
@@CheeseyStudios OOOO EXCITING looks like bedwars or something
This set is so expensive in Australia! $109 aud is ridiculous! Such a cool set though
That's rough, yeah 😭
What bothers me the most about the new Ender Dragon head is that besides it being small, the horns are not painted and she lost her nostrils, now it looks like she has a duck beak
Yeah. It's strange that they went through all the effort of the custom mould, but it doesn't look all that amazing
Something about the dragon’s head looks a bit off to me, but the fact it can be worn makes up for it. The ship looks great though
For me, it's just the horns being too small. Someone pointed out the lack of nostrils as well
Finally! We got an end city set, even if it’s a bit off. Lego will probably make a better design when they make more
Fingers crossed!
I feel like the heads on the figures should be swapped.
And the end portal should have been a gateway portal.
But this is a good set.
It's too bad the portal here is pretty lackluster. I would love to see how they'd do the gateway!
Honestly, i think the Horns on the Dragon head is what makes it look too small.
It's kinda weird they went to the effort of making a brand new mould but skipped out on some key details like that 🤔
Imagine if he makes an end island
Ha, maybe one day 😂
you should make an endcity in your lego mincraft world.
That could be interesting!
I feel like the new dragon head looks like a juvenile, especially cuz of the lacking gray horns
It looks so small 😭
I feel as if a combo of the oldest and this dragon would be perfect though!
It is too bad the head doesn't have the horns or nostrils.
Honestly, I couldn't agree more with your opinions on the dragon design. Not to mention that the snout doesn't look right without nostrils....
Ah, that's so true! I wish they had moulded in some of those details.
Me too! I feel like such a set would be very popular
For me this set is missing something but I dont know what, like the structure is only the ship for that price. I dont think its worth it, but that is my opinion
That's completely understandable! I feel most of the sets this wave are a bit too expensive. Hopefully it won't be too much longer before you can find it on sale somewhere.
I’m going to be honest, we did not need the ender dragon in this set. They could’ve used that piece budget to build the dock or a part of an end city
I wonder if they'll ever do a tower from the city itself. That could be a pretty cool set
I'll have to build the 2nd dragon for myself at some point, just to experience it lol
Smaller than I thought, but near perfect In my opinion
I enjoy how well-rounded the set is. There's a lot to do with it!
Very true
A end shippp
We all know he's going to do the end of eventually right in his Minecraft Lego Moc😂 I really hope it looks how I think it
We'll see :)
Are you gonna design your own ender dragon if you ever try to build the end in your style?
I'll do a custom dragon at some point!
