There is the Kikuyu saying that, "Muthenya wa ndinwa gukua, miti yothe ya githaka nitenderaga".
Meaning that "On the day a monkey is to die, all trees in the forest becomes slipperly".
This was true for Chris, "Saul become Paul", for when it was time for him to face a full consequence of his evil acts and pay for his crimes by going to prison, neither his corrupt lawyers and magistrates, nor his crafty knowledge, money and land title deeds could prevent it.
Our God is long sufferingly, enduringly merciful that when we turn to him in repentance and truth, he forgives us and forgets .
Nevertheless ,when we sturbonly continue in our rebellion and disobedience, He is also just.
As thus, He allows us to face the full consequence of our wrong deeds, for the wages of sin is death.
Chris is right in saying that, "However we try to hide, one can hide forever" as there is always "A 40th day."
We therefore need to accept and repent of our sins before our day of judgement comes.
