About the Movie:
In "OLD FOX," the story follows 11-year-old Liao Jie (played by Run-Yin Bai) and his father Liao Tai-Lai (played by Kuan-Ting Liu) as they live a simple, honest life. The frugal father and son are determined to save money to buy a home, but they face ongoing setbacks due to their poverty. Everything changes when Liao Jie meets the landlord, Mr. Xie, known as the Old Fox (played by Akio Chen), and learns the societal rules that his father never taught him. Liao Jie’s inner conflict deepens as he grapples with his father’s principles of empathy versus the Old Fox’s harsh survival tactics. The music, cinematography, and strong acting portray a stirring depiction of 1980’s Taiwan, “Old Fox” explores socioeconomic inequality through the lens of a child, along with the central theme of the film: "What kind of person do you want to become?"
《老狐狸》故事描述11歲男孩廖界（白潤音飾）與父親廖泰來（劉冠廷飾）過著樸實簡約的老實生活。節儉的父子倆一心存錢買房，卻因貧窮現實接連受挫。直到廖界遇見人稱老狐狸的房東謝老闆（陳慕義飾），並從他身上學到父親沒教他的社會法則。廖界的內心也開始搖擺於父親推己及 人的待人之道及老狐狸不平等的生存法則。音樂、攝影和出色的演技共同描繪了1980年代台灣的動人景象。《老狐狸》通過一個孩子的視角探索社會經濟不平等，並圍繞電影的核心主題：「你想成為什麼樣的人？」
About the Actor:
Run-yin Bai was born in 2009 in Taiwan. He is an actor, known for More than Blue: The Series (2021), Old Fox (2023) and The Bold, the Corrupt, and the Beautiful (2017).
白潤音（英語：Runyin Bai，日語：バイ·ルンイン，2009年7月3日-），臺灣童星、兒童演員，台日混血兒，左撇子。6歲就開始向陳麒文學習國術，拿到許多冠軍，最擅長螳螂拳。演藝作品包含電影、電視劇、MV及廣告拍攝。姊姊為童星演員白小櫻。
白潤音是台日混血兒。媽媽是日本人，曾兼任日文翻譯，現為會計師事務所工作；爸爸是台灣人，曾任攝影師，現職為白潤音和姊姊白小櫻的經紀人。參與作品有《親愛的房客》、《愛的詐欺犯》、《嗨！神獸》、《比悲傷更悲傷的故事：影集版》，是2021年首爾九老兒童國際影展最佳男主角得主；2022年入圍金鐘獎迷你劇集（電視電影）男配角並得獎。
