I can't believe I'm going to respond to a 15yr old comment. But I know Jon played drums on Issues for sure. On the Deuce video, he's seen playing drums on "Trash" in the studio. Probably coincides with David's wrist injury. Jon is pretty talented.
2 bands that no matter how old I get they will always make sense and sound relevant. Korn and nirvana. Hate or love them but they really don't get old to me.
Munky coordinating and producing the jam ...Jonathan bringing it home. Love how Munky gives Jonathan his props and freedom to bang it out on the guitar when he's the lead player with Head. This is the epitome of teamwork and burying the egos. Fun to watch these guys being human!!
@@aaaaaa-kn8bf I’m pretty certain both Head and Munky are very good at guitar, they’re style of music doesn’t show it off but they’ve both been playing for nearly 40 years. They most definitely can shred faces if they want to, I’ve seen footage of Head shredding through some Van Halen backstage like it was nothing.
every KoRn fan know's jon can play the guitar!!! he recorded and played drums, guitar, and bagpipes in many of Korn's albums!!! come on guys you this!!!
The best punk bands can switch instruments and you'd never know they switched. And they usually switch for different songs in the show. KoRn is my all time favorite band and have listened since 1996. I'm old and 42.
I know this. it was in the back of the Long Beach studio production room, before rehearsals in larger room.upstairs fieldy had his little studio. fun times. during the fan contest to create korns cover, that room was filled wall to tall with entries.
Munky's got that up all night for a couple days meth voice going on. 2002 was a tough year for the KoRn guitar section. One of the best in the world to ever do it. The black and white guitar is one of my favorites, I didn't know that he had two of them. One has Munky written in Japanese on the neck and this one has a star. During this tour he played the Japanese neck every night, so I know the neck wasn't replaced at some point.
This is how it is kids. Band members rarely only know how to play one instrument. Even if they aren't particularly good at other instruments, a real musician at least knows his way around the other instruments. That way, we can know and understand the reality and capability of the rest of the band.
It’s not like he’s playing all along the watchtower. They are both playing pretty basic stuff. Take away the distortion and it might even sound like something a teacher would have one of his 10 year olds take home and practice .
Damnit! This little special off the cuff jam session really hit the spot today!! Unexpected pleasures in the middle of the day. AMEN! God Bless you kids.
I love how the individual layers of instrumentation sound kind of okay on their own but when you put them together it’s like “holy shit, that’s awesome”. That’s what makes Korn such a symbiotic band. This was filmed literally 10 days after I saw them play at the Long Beach Arena in Southern California.

Jon is good on guitar.. I wonder why he don't play the albums or Live... It's always killer to see a si9nger pick up a guitar everyone in awhile at their shows!!!
@Secretaryism They have actually done shows where for an encore john plays drums, munky and head switch guitars, silveria plays bass and fieldy sings. Its amazing to see. There are some vids on youtube about it. look it up.
hey, slipknot and littlemrl, KORN did switch instruments a couple yrs back durin' a show. they performed EARACHE MY EYE, and i think FIELDY did the singing. :D
Munky reminds of me when I was a beginner on drums. Really stiff arms probably because he was teaching himself on other people's kits during downtime just like I did!
YES Daphne I agree THEY caught my attention when i was a teen when i first heard just like you hear here YOU JUST CANT NOT KNOW KORN they are amazing ....GODHEADS love it !!
The creative/collaborative process combined with the chemistry between a few dudes in a jam going for a vibe is really the core of it all. The second that shit gets compromised, your band is dying. Not to take anything away from these dudes at all and their respective talent, but you gotta love how this pretty much has the same DNA of every garage/basement jam ever. Pure magic of music in action.
Johnathan Davis a music genius he can play guitar obviously and he can play bassy synthesizers drum's piano bagpipes sings now that's a music genius 💯🤘🤘🤘🤘
It would have been interesting to see JD play guitar on some of the records like how some vocalists do where it may appear that ALL THE VOCALIST’S is assigned to do is sing but on the song he can write the guitar parts and the lyrics of the song and do the guitar melodies maybe just the chorus and the bridge parts of the song
Oh you must be new to this band my dear Jonathan Davis is a multi instrumentalist and he's been playing guitar since he was a child my dear bagpipes, drums, guitars ,Bass , keyboards, piano he contributes a lot on all Korn and other projects albums

Jon actually did record some of the guitar tracks for "Mr. Rogers" and "Kill You" on "Life is Peachy".

even when they just mess around, they sound awesome.....

"head" also has some great vocals like on lies (the chorus)

They've always re-invented themselves every album from day 1. It's an artistic expression.
