Actually the building is old, and the wooden walls and floor are creaky, and that makes some uncanny noise when people walk around. So if someone walks in their room, people in other rooms may feel like someone is walking outside in the corridor or even inside the room they are in 😁 When it’s windy, the wind also makes noise through the gaps in the walls. Also, since Darjeeling weather is moist, the floors in the basement feel a bit spooky, and the air is heavy. All these factors result in the uncanny spooky feel that one gets while staying in Chalet Hotel 😀
