Awesome to see some commercial footage from you brother and really cool to see Phil again. He is definitely an excellent driver. Must be a big change for him for sure. At first glance I thought to myself whoa that a WM truck with a Republic badge! After CCCs, Macks are really a favorite of mine plus seeing him dump those larger cans was extra cool. Great video.
+Raul Frescas Thanks, it was nice to finally get some more commercial footage. Yep, he has made the transition pretty well. He definitely seems to be liking it, and is pretty good running the truck. Haha yep it could almost pass as a WM truck. Macks are a favorite of mine as well, just wish there has a tad more diversity around here haha. Thanks man, glad you enjoyed the video!
Good stuff here, been a minute sense I have commented on anything of you'res. Really nice lengthy video of an old MR Heil Classic combo known all around! Its kinda crazy to think an MR Heil is becoming rare, very stoked to see her supporting the York Waste Disposal brand, and the fact they only slapped a Republic sticker on the door. Just makes me stoked to see these former Subsidiary's documented, because in the coming years this will be history. Great work man! Keep it up!
+Solid Waste Entertainment Thanks man, glad you enjoyed the video! It is weird to think this combo is getting rare, I think we are finally at the point where there are more LEU/MRUs on the road than LE/MRs, I was just thinking about that myself yesterday. Yeah it's always nice to see videos of former subsidiaries, their trucks won't be around for long at all.
It's great to see videos of commercial collection that isn't from SoCal. I rarely film commercial, and when I do, its coincidental and I only get one stop. It's also interesting that we have identical units here in brown republic colors, and they sound very different. My MRs sound better than your MRs! (Haha). Hopefully I'll be able to get routes for a large apartment complex or something next summer. Excellent job, and great find! Thanks for taking the time and the effort to film and share this!
+garbageproductions1 Haha I agree the majority of it comes out of there. It can be hard to do, I could have a lot of 1 clip stops but usually don't even bother because I'd rather go find something I can shoot a full video of. This combo was the steeple of our commercial fleet for years, we have like a dozen of them in brown that had always been Massillon trucks, plus a couple brown and I think a blue one or two that came from other yards. That would be awesome if you could find out when they service an apartment complex, those are nice because there are a lot of boxes in one tight area. Thanks for the kind words man, glad you enjoyed the video! Not a problem, glad I was able to get this.
It's odd, I film a lot more commercial than residential , but I live by a big city so that might contribute to that , always loved York's Trucks , loved the video bro.
+MetroBoston Trash Trucks Thanks, glad you liked the video! Yeah it might be easier living near a big city, I live in a more rural/surburban area so there's not as many commercial stops to film.
Oh man the memories! I can remember back when the only garbage trucks around were York Heils. Nowadays the only thing on the road is CNG Xpeditors. Most of their diesels went down the coast when they got their new ones, so I'm wondering if this one went down south before being sent over to Ohio. About 5 of their best rear loaders they kept and had completely repainted blue, and now almost all of the dumpsters are blue now too. They re-branded quick here, considering in 2013 they got their CNG, and now the York name is almost extinct. If you guys were CNG I wouldn't be surprised if you got our new trucks. York Republic is losing so much business they are sending their new trucks off to yards that need them more. Thanks for the blast from the past!
+IWS15 haha I knew you would love this one!!! From what I've seen in your videos, those CNG Xpeditors have taken over your area with a strong foothold. I'm not sure if this one made any intermediate stops or not, but it is definitely possible. The CNG transition makes rebranding quick, it seemed like Kimble flipped a light switch when they went CNG and started using the new name. I was surprised to see this, I figured York would be about dead by now. They didn't happen to have an International/ Heil Formula 4000 did they? We have a green/white one and I'm trying to figure out where it came from, and York is the logical guess. Really, it is the opposite here. They have been adding so much that they can't get trucks in fast enough. Glad you enjoyed the video man, happy I could get this for you!
+Alex Coleman I actually have yet to film in Portage County. Most of my videos are from Summit and Stark counties. This was shot in Munroe/Cuyahoga Falls. Are you from the Northeast Ohio area?
Wow, small world!! Republic runs some cool trucks out that way, last I heard they were running a combo of Resi Fronts and Rear Loaders. Portage County has some cool recycle trucks as well.
