I rly liked this movie. I think it had unique characters and twist. And nearly all the sins ab the character of kids actually were the reasons I liked the movie so much. I think they were portrayed very realistically, and felt like real characters. The boy rapping weirdly, the girl trying to be artistic.

This movie would've been way better if it ended like this: The visit has all these unseemly weird occurrences and odd/scary moments but the end of the visit goes well. They send the kids off on the train home. Once they get there the girl edits her film together and shows it to her mom and that's when they all find out that the real grandparents were never there!
That would have been *INSANE*. I would never see a studio greenlighting that though...
You basically described a twilight zone episode. It would have been good, but without any gore and screaming and all that stuff, it wouldn’t have been a major motion picture.

This movie is just OK, but I hated three things:
1. Rap.
2. Long, bad acted, irrelevant shots.
3. Handheld camera.
It could've been worse. The camera in question could have just been a vertical video smartphone camera instead of a proper usable DSLR.

The scariest part in this movie is when the son tries to open the door to leave, and right as he does, you can see the girl that came to yell at the grandparents hanging in the tree from a noose! It's actually a great idea to volunteer at a psych ward/hospital. Most people are juts very lonely and want people to spend time with. Volunteers would never be allowed to interact with the criminally insane, who are also kept on separate wards.
