In which direction we hv to give 3rd node direction for stirrups and main bars in beam?

    Hello Conrad,
I modeled reinforcements just like you with 50 mm element size. Then from "Section", I assigned it as a tubular (10mm for stirrups and 20mm for main reinforcement). But once I am doing my analysis it states that my nodes of the reinforcements are a massless entity. Little help will be greatly appreciated.

    hello mr conrad :
thanks for this wonderful video ?
but how can i stimulate and model performance bond between steel and concrete ?
    thanks in advance

    hi Conrad,
I've noticed that when element generation is carried out, the 'value' is set as 50? May I know why the value is not the thickness of the stirrup or the reinforcement?

Hi Peng, the value of 50 is set for the number of beam element per segment. Each line representing one side of the stirrup or representing the longitudinal rebar is meshed into a certain number of elements. That is the value of 50 you see.

    Hello Conrad,
I wasn't able to see my reinforcements being as thick as the ones shown in the video during element generation. Any idea why?

      Hi Juahari,
In order to view the reinfrocement as cylindrical rather than line elements, go to the view element and make sure Beam Prism is selected. Hope this helps.

    Hello Conrad
    Thanks for the videos
I am unable to bond steel bar with concrete although I am using Constrained_Lagrange_In_Solid command.
Could you please help by posting next video?

    sir,
i dont know how far this doubt is worth asking. Though,
How to give static loads (point, udl) in Ls-prepost.......?

hello Conrad , i watch this video , and thanks for that , but it's not complete so I can't model the RC column with contact to a shell or solid element, because for example the sphere shell contact to the concrete but it doesn't contact with reinforcement even if i use ( constrain lagrange in solid )command.
please give me one your's email so that i send for you the keyword file, maybe you can help me
thank you conrad , very much . if you send to me one message i reply to you the model file .
i'm waiting for you Conrad, thanks.
