Thank you for providing the names and counts for all the figures - much appreciated; this video might come in handy once we learn more of these figures
I know one move Scott does in the film which is a paso pose move - he extends and outstretches his arms parallel to the floor with a deep forward lunge on lead foot, then he contracts. This happens after Scott and Fran finds out they are disqualified from the Pan Pacific comp--but Scott decides not to stop paso dancing despite being sent off.
1:34 - fortunately Manuel and Natalia do not do the first highlight pose, because likely that highlight will require being off syllabus and probably do a dip or drop, which, in a real dancesport heat, means you end up penalized and probably out of the competition. Save the "open-level" highlights for open-level heats. However, it is permissible to do the Spanish Line "school figure" as a highlight because usually this move does not have contact and allows you to display your arms in Spanish style greatly...even in Silver...because even in restricted syllabus, you still need to show the theatrical character of the Paso.
Exquisite and elegant - if Natalia's dress were a little more simple , her movements would be more sympathetic to the observer , although I am sure that the dress felt like fun to move in . I am so into fashion as a serious element of artistic fowards motion . Right now , all the designers are doing TWO things , one is assymetry , and the other is emergence , not emergency , but the emergence of one state to another -- as long as I am here commenting ( from my out of shape body sitting on my office chair ... ) a man once told me the length of the skirt - just above the ankle , just below the knee , just above the knee . I think the idea , is again , emergence of the foot , the calf , or the leg . One does not want to reveal , rather BEGIN to reveal . Well , that is my thought for the day . Jen
one more thought - fashion only , I think it is actually the man who should be on display , and that the female story is to display HIS story - and this is something we have mixed up a lot this last 100 or so years . I swear , the same exact dance , moves , music , but the fashion more thought out , and the feeling would truly emerge , it is the BULL that is on display in a good bullfight , not the matador .
The counting part makes the difference . Hope more videos with counting to help us learn. Thank you. Hugs from Brazil.

This is wonderful, can you please also create a jive and samba silver routine to share too? Do I permission to use part or all for pro am comps?
Go ahead!
