I'm a pro boxer, and Anna's music is a great influence on my training and life. It gives me goosebumps. I can feel the rattle of the organ to my bones. I will definitely play her music for my entrance to the ring in the future. Thank you Anna!
Outstanding. It is said that when one composes for an organ, or listens to one, it is difficult to return to another instrument, without, in the long run, noticing that something important is missing. Something that only a great pipe organ can provide. And, in the end, you go back to the organ. It is at that precise moment that the great organ catches you, and no longer releases you, for the rest of your life. It breaths, like you. It can whisper, like you. And sometimes, it can shout, like you.
For those who are interested, the pipe organ she's playing in this album is located in Örgryte Nya Kyrka in Gothenburg. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/North_German_baroque_organ_in_%C3%96rgryte_Nya_Kyrka
Wonderful and powerful piece on a "dark" inspiration, with great pipe organ performance by Anna. Something very important on the pipe organ used for this recording is just what is stated above, on the technical note. Highlighting it here: "The organ on 'All Thoughts Fly' is situated in Gothenburg and is a Swedish replica of the Arp Schnitger organ in Germany. It is the largest organ tuned in Quarter-comma Meantone temperament in the world." The quarter comma tuning implies - at least to my knowledge as a lead electric guitar player who uses frequent micro-tonations on my pieces - the possibility of playing microtones ( intervals lesser than a semitone ), and that's something that "challenges" the official tuning in most Western instruments - though having being used for milemnia in Indian classical music and other very old non-Western musical traditions.
Whether it's coming from a full band or just solo organ, your music never fails to make me feel sensations so deep within myself, so primal, so rooted on instinct. It's not only the potential of this music to feel cinematic or story-like, but also that this just feels like pure sentiment translated into notes and textures. It always fills my soul.
I'm IMPRESSED !!!!!!!!!! As always. I would LOVE to see & hear Anna Von Hausswolff in concert someday. Please come to Oregon, U.S.A . Thank you... would love & cant wait for this on vinyl
This is inspired by The Gardens of Bomarzo (or Sacred Grove of Bomarzo), in Italy, where there is this park guarded by monumental monsters and grotesque figures beneath Castle Orsini. It was built by Pier Francesco Orsini, a 16th century condottiero, in homage to his deceased wife. There is a historical novel callled Bomarzo as well, that tells the history of the garden and Pier Francesco's life, writen by argentinian writer Manuel Mujica Láinez in 1962. Amazing book, amazing writer and amazing story... I wonder if Anna used it as inspiration as well
@@ericjandrey6369 I know that before writing the novel Mujica Láinez did a 4 year research, and most important characters (including Pier Francesco and his family) were indeed real, as well as many dates and behaviours of the clergy and nobility of the era. It has however, fantastic elements which help drive the plot, mostly in the 2nd half. So I'd say probably 50/50, because it dives a lot into the characters (that we can't really know how they thought or behave, just assume) but with a very solid historical frame that helps understand Italian Renaissance.
This woman's music kicks all sorts of spiritual ass (if that makes sense) and all in a good way, and the video rocks, too. Amazing stuff all the way! Imagine, if I had not been browsing youtube, chanses are I might've missed this amazing composer/musician, as well as many, many others.
Totally amazing! And what a mysterious, magical video. I can't really decide if I think it's a real place, shot with a drone flying low, or if it's all CGI or a mixture of both? The music is equally complex, undefined between Dead Can Dance best moments and sacral classical music. Now on repeat for the rest of the day!
@@MrHumanracin Near the forrest with the bosco monumentale del sasseto. I wonder if that has inspired for the name of the single aswell Edit: Just read the comment to the video, that says just that :D
This video has actually been uploaded on Hausswolff's channel since late June, and I was wondering why it had so few views, then I found out it wasn't "public" yet, like, you could only find it if you searched on her channel and checked out the videos uploaded on it. The video's description session was empty and we had no information about the new album. Glad that she's finally giving it a proper release and I'm super excited about the new music to come

This is excellent as it is . My thoughts is Anna might be peeking at Lisa Gerrard´s career , as in , nodding at Soundtracks for Cinemas or / and other media . Everything about this is " Cinematic " . Not a bad thing per se ... is it ?

I feel conected with the garden, perhaps there is something eternal lying there
I love how slow burn this is! And it has undertone of doom yet beautiful. Im glad this piece takes its time, my favorite kind of music and art!
damn this album is going to be incredible

This is not just music, sounds like something coming for a dream.
Ambient music my friend! Her music skates around a lot of genre and moods, which is why I love it!

I am completely hypnotized. My god. Transcendental.
Your music was the best way to express this place, I'm always stunned by the accuracy with which your sound recreates atmoshperes!
How can an artist be this cool. I can´t wait to see you live again, and promise to never stop making your music. It has become a drug to me.
Underbart stycke! Gillar blandningen av minimalism och drone och de svajiga tonerna!!!
I like it, just hope the vocals aren't gone forever.
Shes always done instrumental albums and vocal albums.
@@quinnlewis2003 No? All four of her previous albums have vocals
She said on Instagram that this one will not feature vocals, but it’ll be an entire instrumental album.
@@FloorFourteen She has done more than four albums. "Källan (Prototype)" and "Källan (Betatype)" are both instrumental.
I don't know why you would think that, as of now. Why would an instrumental album imply that there would be no more vocal album?
Amazing music and cinematography. I can't wait to listen to the whole album. Thank you Anna! 🖤
this is more like what I want. I thought I was gonna get rock and roll organ music right off the bat, but had to search a bit.
dark,mysterious,goosebumps everywhere,this is beautiful,true art
So haunting,I absolutely love this.Visuals are stunning.Cant wait for the album.smashed it Anna as always. 😀❤️👍
Wow.......... literally just wow!! A visual and aural masterpiece!!!!
Epic soundscape, here's hoping it evolves even more over the course of the album!

How much of it is historical or a fiction though?
