OOOOHHHH! Seeing Adam Savage built unique Lego models is a dream come true!! And props to the designer! Such incredible details! I legitimately love it!
From knolling to the build, watching this amazes me. Keep on Adam, you are the coolest, most powerful nerd the kids and fellow 44 yr old nerds can look up to. Thank you for your mental awareness and ease of thought.
I can sit forever and watch Adam build anything. But ... there was one line here which sums up his entire portfolio of work. "Did I build this thing upside down....?"
please Brickvault, make this a kit. David Duperron you would be a millionaire over night, there are bladerunner fans that have been waiting for this since it was first seen on Syd Meads desk many years ago, it is one of the most talked about non lego kits. please
My compliments to whomever does the music selection to go with the time lapse sequences. Though the music choices might not always be my "cup of tea," it always goes well with the video.
And this is how adam gets converted into a full time lego builder 😂 Also love to see angus maclane’s -of pixar- lego ideas walle set in the background. Would be awesome to see you guys make a lego video together
Awesome. I have the Papaglop Razor Crest, the French have designed some very beautiful MOC sets. His modular style of engineering is brilliant, such a beautiful kit just like this Spinner.
At the start of the video, you liked the design of the instruction book. Well I think it is really not great, having to invert it every time you change the page.
Shout out to Syd Mead, the artist who designed the Spinner (who sadly died in 2019), and Gene Winfield, the Custom Car/hot rodding legend who built the Spinners for the original, 1982 movie. Winfield is still painting cars (what originally made his name) and chopping Mercury's, on his ranch in Mojave. Winfield also built the Shuttlecraft, for the original Star Trek series, as well historic show cars/Customs like the 'Jade Idol', 'Stripstar' and 'Reactor' ('Reactor' also featured in Star Trek TOS, Bewitched, and the 60s Batman series).
this is going to sound very silly but it made my day seeing you wear that arm brace. I draw a lot and struggle with arm pains and cramps despite taking a lot of preventive measures. it's nice to see that you go through it too xD
A tip for building these brickvault models that has saved me is. . . use Clear Solo Cups to store pieces in. . you can semi sort half knowl the bags into cups.
Adam: I LOVE KNOLLING SO MUCH, I DO IT ALL THE TIME....no seriously, knolling is the greatest thing ever, especially with Lego. it just makes everything so much more efficient, and truly builds are faster if you knoll first. me: skepticals....outside of the fact i didn't hear about knolling till Adam said it, it seems a world of inefficient just to de-clutter. Adam: 2000 piece....yea, i'm not gonna knoll. takes too much time.
That is an interesting choice for the instructions. You could slide a dowel in there to hang it up by the rings and it would always be right-side up... put that on a swivel and you're set.
I'm surprised LEGO hasn't made a CAD program where you can design and share projects or load it on the site and hit "Order Now" to get instructions and the parts needed.
it's like the 3d printing community there is loads of design's that they have created to share with other people that are heavily in to 3d printing so im glad there is lego builders doing the same thing.
@@peterkelley6344 So the only people who should be buying instructions from brickvault, are those with an "Adam-Savage" collection of Legos, all other mortals shouldn't bother? To reiterate, are you suggesting all the pieces in this Blade Runner build are taken from other Lego builds ultimately destroying them?
@@ZiddersRooFurry Yes, realise that. I'm wondering if Brickvault sent Adam the parts or whether an assistant did the laborious process? And are there any rare parts? I remember the cost of doing the Arvo Brothers' Alien and Chestburster.
when you mean the kits benefit from not going thru corporate, do you mean like not having to justify reusing certain retired molds or creating new ones? or just licensing bc that seems obvious but just wasnt sure what else you may have meant
Where can you get the parts/pieces for this kit?? I would love to do this but I am unsure where you can go to buy the necessary pieces....I know you can buy them individually on Brick Link but they don't list it as a set...so do you always have to piece them together?
They do not sell them as a set or all together, you have to find the part list and then purchase all of the parts on bricklink, and probably have to purchase the parts from several different sellers to get everything needed.
As a child of the 70s Lego bricks were quite common. However, I never owned a set myself but it seemed like every kid I knew had them. The thing is I never saw what the packaging looked like or what the complete set looked like. It was always just a jumble of random bricks in someone's bedroom that we would play with. We never tried to build anything specific or were even aware that each kit was supposed to create a specific building or something. We would just snap them together into whatever we could think of. I used to get a kick out building a square version of the starship Enterprise.
I was close to buying BrickVault's Sandcrawler kit today. Then i remembered the artist who worked on A New Hope sells model kits of Sandcrawlers. Hmm.....I guess I'll choose both, maybe?
Those “wing pieces are from a couple sets but most notably in my opinion, they’re in the technic Bugatti set! There’s loads of them in black and bright blue!
You have done a couple scratch built models episodes. But I am wanting to take on building scratch built version of the class ships for the MMO Star Wars: The Old Republic and would like to see a few more scratch build episodes
I wonder if you've considered more drawer style work tops under your workbenches, like the one you built for your new 3D printer, for light duty applications such as this.
I'm not sure this would be a great idea but it would be nice to see future videos like this with the experimentation of ASMR builds like Gio San Pedro's Model kit builds.

You need an analog clock near the build site for the time lapse! -- I love the LEGO builds! So much fun to watch!
OMG, the classic chaos building style. It's my favorite way. Knolling makes it seem like actual work.

Watching Lego Masters on Australian TV at the moment, now more Lego from Adam.

Great build. I appreciate the little bit of slight of hand Adam. Nicely done.
Can anybody be more excited than Adam. It must be a Blade Runner item. Great job !
I love it when he does some slight of hand when showing us something just to mess with us a little.
OMG Adams for all that is holy in the world of building models please stop putting your projects on the edge of the table!!!!
I LOVE that YOU LOVE everything Blade Runner related.

Some say, the 'time lapse' isn't sped up at all, but is in fact Adam's functional speed when he's hyped as heck for a model kit... :P
My two favorite fantasy vehicles. The spinner and the motorcycle from Akira.
I love it when Adam gets beyond infinity excited about cool Lego building techniques
So fun to see Adam so passionate about something i've loved since I was a child.
I would love to see Adam scratch build the spinner using styrene and bits. That would be an epic build.
Adam and the Blade Runner is a perfect combination of joy to me :D
I have a feeling Adam has just as much getting ready to build a Lego set as he does actually building the Lego set. His instructions are bound.
Just love Adam Savage. Thank you Adam, an absolute pleasure to watch.
