Jeremy, you are projecting yourself to be a great in the history of jazz, just like Bill Evans, Michell Petrucciani, Barry Harris, Chick Corea and more, you are young and a master at the piano, I admire you a lot, greetings from Montevideo - Uruguay 👏👏👏
Holy moly.....this was so intense !!! ...like Janis singing or jimi on guitar...i thought the whole time ...wait a minute...whats going on here ? 🤯...like ten songs at once...but so beautiful...man...you got it !
Thanks, Marco! If you haven't already seen it, I did a video where I explained what I'm doing in this performance. ua-cam.com/video/-p81BNi1PIg/v-deo.html
Lovely playing.. I am so glad to have discovered you on UA-cam...you bring expertise, imagination, and depth that is beautiful and inspiring... its as if you think about the music and piano possibilities the same way that Bach, Mozart and Chopin did...
I listened to this again after a lapse of months and I find it to be a deep well of beauty and inspiration, You are my goto artist for clean, creative interpretations of jazz standards,
It might seem mundane given such artistic creative playing, but I want to thank you for having your piano in tune. Even when so many jazz pianists play at a high level, they ignore that the unisons on their instrument makes a splatter of sound with each note played. Your attention to the condition of your instrument and its rich tone allowed me to listen to this wonderful recording many times without splatter fatigue. I own your book and benefit greatly from your videos.
Yay! Glad you’re enjoying the videos! This one wasn’t filmed on my personal piano, so I can’t take credit. :) but I’m glad you’re enjoying the in tune pianos. I think I have a book coming your way soon. 😉
Amazing rendition :) very inventive, a lot of different ideas, but they merge into each other seamlessly and it feels like it tells a story. Very technical at times, but at the service of the music, not just to impress. It definitely makes me want to buy your book on solo piano.
You are a genius. I found yesterday the first video and new ones are coming when I open UA-cam and no chance to say no. Amazing. Modern but classical. I appreciate the outpouring of knowledge and beauty.
Wow, that's very very kind. I'm so glad you liked it! I think you'll like some of the other videos on my channel if you enjoyed this. Thanks, Ariel! :)
@@JeremySiskind Actually My Name is Iván (I am from Hungary) and play jazz piano too with a tremendous love for stride+prebop. Your Chanel is amazing your tips are extremely helpful and special. I will buy your book because I am convinced it will help me to further knowledge and practice tips. Thanks especially the Block chord part, (and all the others, the polyphonic ideas blowed my mind) I have already checked so many of this but you were able to give me a fresh look and inspiration.
@@JeremySiskind thank you for your generous offer. I don’t get this kind of opportunity often, so I will ask. (No need to apologize, actually my mistake not to make a Chanel with my own name. This is differently used but I couldn’t help myself and needed to give a positive comment to your amazing work.) Actually one of my problems these days that I use really a lot of time to improve my playing. (3-4-5hours per day) but I think the development is much slower than the investment. Of course over 50 this is understandable but if you would give some tips to organize better my time ( I do difficult stride technical skills in every key, I learn a difficult transcription from Chris Dawson ((too slow the improvement but slowly I see the end :) )) I want to learn new songs etc. I really appreciate every tips on the field stride/swing/prebop as you did with the left hand ideas. But on the other side do what you do and like because every part of it was pure gold until this time.
Thanks, man! The video that’s called something like “Jazz Pianist Explains His Performance” features me breaking down the first half of this performance.
Performed by great jazzmusiciens . Right ! But was has Lady Gaga to do with Coleman Hawkings and Billie Hollidayy and leaving out Charlie Parker is terrible.
The genius of this man comes with such music taste. As a jazz pianist this is my new hero.

Very very, beautifully played. Thank you so much for sharing these tunes over the last week!
Thanks for listening, Theo! Wishing you a very happy new year!

The best well-played piano cover I've not heard in a while!! Thank you for uploaing
The world would be a better place if more people were like you!
Lovely, ... Beautiful ..... swept away in a dream
Antoin, it makes me so happy that you enjoyed it!!
Jeremy, from when I first met you, you have evolved into such a wonderful master of the jazz piano. Your playing transports me to a delightful place
Beautiful arrangement and playing. Inspired to practice more.
Wonderful and inspirational! So many interesting solo ideas in 6 minutes...
So glad you liked it, Jeffery! Keep in touch!

man, that 1.22 run downwards, so tastefull
Sounds great! I think there's an error in the description though ;)
Oops! You're right - I just fixed it. Thank you!
👏👏
Amazing performance again!
How do I play Jeremy, like that..
You are American and you Already have the soul of jazz and blues within you.
I'm brazilian .
Thanks, Pedro! You Brazilians seem to have the souls of poets so I'm jealous. :)

New subscriber 👍🏽
Welcome! Enjoy and let me know if there’s ever something you want me to make a video about
Very tasteful reharm, I'd like to play it that well.
Thanks!
C7? Watching cause my friend Anne Reece told me to. Nice inner lines/harmony. Are you in real book key Eb minor all those pianistic black notes.
Amazing 👏
I heard a lot ...some chick , Bill ? ofcourse you Sir.
Amazing sound.
I love Chick and Bill! Great ear!
Is this an example of “playing out” because you’re clearly playing outside the standard chord progression for this song?
Not sure - if you give me a particular timestamp, I might be able to tell you. I don't feel like this is a particularly "out" performance, in general.
@@JeremySiskind I’d say the first instance is about 30-40 seconds from the beginning and then sporadically after that.
@@JeremySiskind Check out 1:55
@@kwixotic Probably wouldn't call that "playing out." I'm just adding in some extra dominant chords. :)
Is your rendition of this in your book?(or at least part of it?).
Nope - sorry! The book's more instructional - not written out arrangements.
Might your piano be a C7F?
Sadly that’s not my piano but it is a C7!
Too much content to remark on in a comment, So......, Ill Say WOW ! Excellent !!
Thanks much, Charles!

Fair point - I included Lady Gaga to potentially appear in more search results. ;)
