Hi everyone, in response to some of your comments - we are not actors, what so ever. In Oct, Britney tweeted she was looking for her biggest fans. We went through a video submission process and won the fan contest. We were all really nervous & weren't sure what to expect. There was no script, the director was asking us questions & we were giving our answers. We are all genuine fans and just regular people. I'm sure other Britney fans here were familiar with the contest.

She was talking about what Britney's theme for the video i.e. wardrobe/choreo, not the lyrics. In 2001 it was still frowned upon and was considered "too sexy" to dress the way she did in this video, but Britney didn't care and wanted to prove to women that it doesn't matter what other people say and she can dress however she wants. So she did and look at her now. Hence, empowering.

It's actually listed as one of the most empowering songs by forbes, but i don't blame you for thinking that way because it's kinda hidden. See, it's suppose to be for all the people who lack self confidence and feel that they're ugly and sexless. The song is basically about her being sexy and for the audience to feel comfortable and even sexy in how they look and not feel ugly, but attractive. Hope that helped :)
